EXPERIENCE:
o Admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of South Africa on 24 April 1992.
o Extensive experience in civil litigation and arbitration.
o Knowledgeable on the technical aspects of ships and shipbuilding, including LNG and LPG carriers.

Present duties:
* I review many commercial and naval shipbuilding contracts, technical services contracts, commercial contracts as well corporate guaranties;
* I negotiate contracts with foreign governments and companies;
* I give legal advice in disputes involving shipbuilding or offshore projects;
* I advise on the setting up of new business ventures such as a new shipping company or new shipyards;
* I conduct due diligence in foreign acquisitions;
* I advise on negotiation strategies for various agreements such as licensing agreements for cargo containment systems.
* Liaison with foreign lawyers in countries.

Past experience:
* Negotiated and drafted several high value contracts between the Government of Oman and DSME in connection with the Duqm shipyard project;
* Negotiated and advised on material and technology supply contracts between NASSCO (a subsidiary of General Dynamics) and DSME;
* Assisted in planning a negotiations strategy for negotiations between GTT (Gaz du France & Technigaz) and DSME on the amount of royalty payable to GTT on the No. 96 LNG cargo system.
* Worked on licensing agreements relating to the regasification of LNG onboard gas carriers as opposed to terminal regasification. (known as the LNGRV concept)
* Worked on intellectual property agreements relating to the fitting of sloshing indicators to LNG cargo tanks. ( Sloshing is a major concern of LNG shipping in the Arctic)
* Drafted all contracts and worked on a prospective LNG carrier repair project between DSME on the one hand and Keppel and Sembawang on the other.
* Established a shipping company for DSME for the transportation of crude oil.
* Conducted ¡* legal due diligence¡¨ on an anticipated merger & acquisition of a ship repair company in the Philippines.
* Conducted legal due diligence in regard to an investment proposal made by Teekay to DSME relating to the exchange of shares for certain contractual rights in regard to LNG carrier construction.
* Negotiated and drafted contracts with Heerema NV relating to the installation of the topsides of the fixed production platform in the Tombua-Landana project commissioned by Total.
* Involved in a coastal shipping project in Nigeria in an effort to improve coastal transportation in West Africa.

September 1999 - December 2000: Self-employed in Taiwan as an immigration consultant and I advised businessmen on immigration to South Africa. I was also employed by the Hess Corporation in Taiwan on a part-time basis.

May 1992 - September 1999: Self-employed as an attorney at own law firm in South Africa.

June 1989 - May 1992: Employed in terms of the requisite two-year article contract as an article clerk at the law firm of Brynard & Brynard in the Cape, South Africa.
