Wise Business Services, Inc.- Assistant/ Document Specialist

August 2005 - April 2007

In assistance of all office responsibilities for Wise Business Services, Inc. include:

* Respond to incoming calls, e-mails and faxes
* Conduct on-site visit to potential client facilities
* Assist with project evaluation
* Identifying potential contracting opportunities
* Invoicing clients
* Track and monitor project production
* Maintain office inventory and order supplies
* Coordinate pick-up and delivery of projects
* Maintain business calendar
* Coordinate professional development activities, workshops and travel

Other responsibilities that include document processing:

1. Inspection and Receipt of Incoming Material – Inspect and report all materials such as smaller paper size, double sided paper, condition of material and number of objects such as staples and paper clips. Determine condition of material (poor, fair, excellent).
2. Prepare Document for Scanning – determine number of batches (logical material subject); Identify a logical subdivision (box identification); Separate pages, remove all staples, paper clips and binding materials so that paper is loose single sheets void of any obstructions; Identify the number of pages; and Complete production sheet.
3. Create Image Attributes- create data class per use of keywords that can be associated with the document
4. Scanning Documents- Create scan folder structure; set the scanner parameter for optimum quality image; set scanner parameters to capture as much image data as possible; scan image.
5. Post-Scan Check on Images - check number of images with document hard copy; enter total count of image files as identified for scanning; check quality of the images with the hard copy; re-assemble all stapled, paper clipped or indeed documents; check the correct order; re-name the image files as per the type of documents.
6. Quality Control - Image Quality - Check the size of document, de-skew images; de-speckle images; ensure image mode is correct (i.e. color images are color and not grayscale); ensure logical orientation; noise (dust); adjust images, cropping and border areas, missing text, page numbers, etc.; align images; ensure text legibility; and ensure uniform canvas size of the image.
7. Correctness of Image - check the number of images with hard copy; enter total count of image files as identified for scanning; check quality of image; check for correctness of order; re-name the image file as per the type of document and return original to the original order in file.
8. Create Pilot Data – prepare storage medium (cd rom); compare project specifications to vendor's work order for accuracy; and submit final storage medium.
