* Saved the company £125,000 a year by implementing a new Stocking and quality assurance system.
* Increased the acceptance level of finished goods from 70% to 100%.
* Assisted in the renewal of ISO 9001 accreditation for the production line by rewriting the company's quality assurance procedures.
* Solved major quality assurance problems which temporarily halted production.
* Continuously saving money by negotiating with new and existing suppliers.
* Decreased departments overheads by manufacturing FRP Moulds increasing productivity and output by almost 80%

2006 - current Braithwaite Engineers Limited/Rowecord Engineering Limited

Braithwaite Engineers manufacture hot pressed moulded GRP sectional storage tanks. Rowecord Engineering manufacture Pressed steel sectional water storage tanks including structural steel work. Both companies supply and install for both Export and Home Market.

Current Title - Production and Purchasing Manager – responsible to Managing Director

Responsibilities and achievements:
* Project manages in excess of 300 contracts per years – this involves stock control, procurement of materials, in-house manufacturing, client liaison, co-ordination of contracts to delivery of products and services.
* Manages a team of 41 people; assigning them tasks and motivating them to deadlines.
* Responsible for Health & Safety issues and production of C.O.S.H.H data sheets and performing Risk Assessments.
* Examination and calibration of equipment in the factory to check that it meets the company standards.
* Producing quotes for Estimators for fabricated steel products, invoicing parent company for supply and manufacture of special products.
* Progress meetings and discussions of work in progress/work in hand and stock audits
* Co-ordination of Steel Erectors to site.
* Checking of Structural steel drawings for towers and pipe work, pumps and valves.
* Health and Safety implementation by carrying out shop floor and site based Audits involving toolbox talks, Risk assessments, COSHH.
* Preparation of Invoices, BOQ'S, parts lists and shipping specifications. Ordering of Stock and maintaining stock re-order levels.
* Generation and Managing companies' work in progress/work in hand on a monthly basis by liaising with Estimating, Installation, Contracts and Accounts departments.
* Ensure good Fabrication/Machining/General workshop practice is maintained and programme is met. Promote and maintain good housekeeping and 5S disciplines.

2001 - 2006 Braithwaite Engineers Limited
Responsibilities and achievements:
Title – GRP Manager – responsible to Operations Director
* Project managed in excess of 200 contracts per years – this involved stock control, procurement of materials, in-house manufacturing, client liaison, co-ordination of contracts to delivery of products and services.
* Manages a team of up to 7 people; assigning them tasks and motivating them to deadlines.

1997 - 2001 Ardep Limited

Ardep limited design, manufacture and install Commercial and domestic swimming pools complete with associated filtration and chemical dosing systems. At this time Ardep had 2 other divisions – general engineering and mechanical engineering. The GED department carried out shutdown/turnkey operations for large industrial processing companies. The MED primarily worked with Hyder consulting/Welsh water on phased Water Treatment works.
Responsibilities and achievements:
Title – Draughtsman/Contract co-ordinator – responsible to Technical director
* Producing of designs and drawings for filtration plant and WTW plant/equipment.
* Estimating and submitting Tenders for projects up to £1.3m in value.
* Co-ordination of contracts from initial enquiry stage to submitting valuation on work
1990 - 1997 Braithwaite Engineers Limited
Responsibilities and achievements:
Title –Technician – responsible to Technical Manager
* Producing of designs and drawings for water storage systems including pipe work.
* Raising preliminary purchase orders -Contract administration via document transmittal system
