CHEVRON, Houston and Soyo, Angola
Sr. Contracts Advisor (2008)
A member of a site management team in Angola responsible for formation and administration of a variety of EPC, lump sum and cost reimbursable contracts on a $9 billion Angloa LNG project. Represent the Project and advise responsible team members in negotiation of contracts, change orders and claims resolution. Ensure site contract representatives understand intent of contract terms, provide expert advice to Project Management on contract interpretation and properly administer contracts to mitigate risk of claims. Maintain close liaison with Negotiations & Legal, Finance, Insurance, accounting, cost, schedule and audit personnel to ensure an integrated, effective project controls effort. Facilitate the coordination of engineering and construction between Houston and the jobsite.

CHEVRON (PTS), Richmond, California
Field Contracts Administrator (2007)
Ownerfs Representative responsible for the overview of the formulation and administration of various cost reimbursable and lump-sum construction contracts for the $800 million Chevron Refinery Renewal project in Richmond, California. Contracts include design, project management, infrastructure, civil, permanent buildings, mechanical, and electrical. Managed the resolution of financial, legal, and technical issues, together with the mitigation of claims, and facilitate the coordination of engineering and construction at the worksite. Prepared Chevron project procedures and develop work processes for effective contract administration and trained junior staff.

BECHTEL INTERNATIONAL, INC., Montreal, Canada and Mosjoen, Norway
Contracts Manager (2004-2006)
Directly responsible for contracts formation and administration for the $300 million Mosjoen Carbon Plant Project, which was based in Norway. Responsible for the training and supervision of contracts supervisors, and contracts administrators. Supported schedulers and cost engineers. Acted as lead negotiator for all major construction contracts, amendments, and change orders. Reviewed contracts for legal compliance prior to award, and established all applicable contract methods and procedures. Personally facilitated claims mitigation, prepared monthly status reports, and conducted weekly progress and senior staff meetings. Negotiated contracts which resulted in more than $14 million in savings to the client.

Senior Subcontracts Formation Supervisor (2003-2004)
Responsible for directing the formation of EPC subcontracts for the Darwin LNG Project, which was based in Australia. Subcontracts included field-erected storage tanks, permanent plant, camp, and temporary site buildings. Senior Contracts Administrator (2001-2003)
Responsible for the administration and formulation of lump-sum, turnkey cost reimbursable performance incentive and build-and-operate contracts for a $1.6 billion Goro Nickel Project, which was based in New Caledonia. Dealt with contracts in such areas as engineering, civil, mechanical, electrical, technical services, and plant construction. Also handled the mitigation of contractor claims, resolving financial, legal, and technical issues; coordinating weekly review meetings, staff training and supervision, and coordinated between engineering personnel, contractors, and construction team.

BECHTEL OVERSEAS CORPORATION, Vancouver, Canada and Lima, Peru
Contracts/Service Manager (1999-2001)
Responsible for directing the formulation and administration of EPC performance incentive, schedule of rates and firm price contracts related to a $200 million port facilities project, which was a major part of a $2.6 billion Antamina project. Dealt with contacts in engineering, civil, mechanical, electrical, technical services, and wharf construction. Duties included the mitigation of contractor claims, assisting in the resolution of financial, legal, and technical issues; monitoring of key contracts, facilitation of weekly progress review meetings, training of support personnel, and coordinating administrative issues between Vancouver, San Francisco, and two worksites.

Contracts Manager (1998-1999)
Oversaw the formulation and administration of various types of performance incentives, schedule of rates, and lump-sum contracts and subcontracts related to a $350 million Port Facilities Project. Contracts included civil, mechanical, electrical, technical services, camp facilities and operations, and permanent building and wharf construction. Handled the mitigation of contractor claims, assisting in the resolution of financial, legal and technical issues; promoting partnering through monthly workshops and review meetings, and facilitating coordination of various administrative issues between Brisbane, Melbourne, and the two worksites.
