Broad range of technical and managerial skills including; project (Primavera P3), FIDIC compliant contract, sub-contracts, EPC & FEED, cost control, HSE policy, proposal /tendering and procurement/supply chain & risk management, as well as with excellent team management, business development, communication skills and a strong commercial acumen.
Previously Contracts Engineer for Sonangol Group, with specific responsibility for the development of Angola LNG, a joint venture between; Sonangol Group and several major international operators, resulting in the formation of Angola LNG Ltd. And the development of a Liquefied Natural Gas plant and associated facilities under construction in Soyo, Zaire Province, with initial 5.2 million tonnes per year LNG production capacity.

Contracts Engineer Contracts Engineer and controls manager for ONGC's 720 M USD 'Pipeline Replacement Project II' based in Mumbai.
Responsible for all aspects of pre-contract phase and sub-contract performance analysis, cost control and scheduling, including project procurement procedures, estimate development, tender process and progress measurement.
Responsibilities included;
* Provision of overall project cost, schedule, estimating, progress, measurement, and change. Organization of kick-off meetings with contractors and PMT to ensure common understanding of contract & cost, estimating, progress measurement, and change management requirements.
* Supporting PMT with ongoing project cost and sub-contract performance analysis, reporting, forecasting, budgeting and Change Management. Developing Control Estimates, and Budgets and ensuring that these products reflected the approved project design/execution scope
* Analysis of cost trends, development and review of cost forecasts.

Contracts Engineer for the joint venture 'Angola LNG Project' involving the development of previously discovered non-associated gas fields, construction of LNG plant with capacity of 5.2 million tons/year (6.8 billion cubic meters/year). Managing associated EPC & FEED contracts. Facilities included;
* 3 high-pressure pipelines to the LNG plant onshore
* Storage for LNG, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and condensate.
* Loading jetty to accommodate 145,000 - 205,000 cubic meter LNG ships
* FPSO with storage capacity of 1,800,000 barrels & 60,000 production, including moorings, hull & topsides
Tasks included; extensive high level communication, networking and relationship management with partners; Chevron, BP, Total as well as International Engineering contractors. Strong ability to communicate on both a technical, commercial & political level, working extensively with government counterparts and senior managers.
Detailed planning, scheduling, cost analysis and forecasting for engineering, procurement and construction, negotiating rates and conditions, in order to reduce risks and to minimize cost exposure. Developing engineering and construction contract documentation for facilities in accordance with the selected contracting strategy and international/company standards. Management & design of EPC & FEED contracts.
Advisor on contracting strategies, developing, monitoring and planning of the tender process and award of contracts, assisting in drafting & obtaining approval of fact sheets, drafting tender/contract documents, assisting in high level negotiations & evaluations of contractual claims including resolution of disputes, supervising variations and amendments to contracts, and ensuring an audit trail exists for all contracting activities.
February 2005 – February 2006 Maldives United Nations Engineering & Contracts /Procurement Manager Project Engineer and Contracts Manager for the United Nations post tsunami Construction and Rehabilitation projects in Maldives. Responsibilities have included project management of large and small scale reconstruction and rehabilitation projects, Value - 46 million USD
Project involved design, installation and rehabilitation of appropriate power supply and municipal infrastructure, reconstruction of Schools, Health Centres and government buildings. Achievements included the completion of 52 Projects on 48 Island. Design and Construction of 14 new 1 and 2-Story School Facilities, Health Posts and Health Centres, Waste-Water Treatment Plants and alternative energy solutions.
Responsibilities included; Site assessments, Construction and Design supervision, quality control, BoQs, Tender Documents and Progress Reporting, Work Plan, design build / FIDIC contract management, Supervision of Implementation of the Rehabilitation Program implemented by local and international contractors.
Full responsibility for financial management and project administration, supervision of environmental impact assessments, management and responsibility of tender processes, contract administration and close monitoring of the contractors' work to anticipate issues that influence budgets and completion dates, as well as close liaison with stakeholders (and direct beneficiaries) to inform on project progress and the compilation of daily, weekly and monthly reports for the project as required.

Long, medium and short term measures were developed, associated costs determined and ToR for the subsequent projects elaborated.
Feasibility Study for a Hazardous Waste Management project in the State of Karnataka, India, GTZ, 2003 Project Assistant
Assisted in the development of a concept for hazardous waste disposal. The concept is based on a site selection for a hazardous waste landfill and a first assessment of environmental impacts. The results serve as fundamentals to determine the technical aspects of the concept as well as the legal requirements and instruments, and provide the basis for a subsequent Feasibility Study tendered by KfW. Tasks included; Site visits with the project team and the client, elaboration of the feasibility report and coordination with local office and international consultants.
