WORK HISTORY Pasminco ======== Pasminco Gordonsville Mine; Gordonsville, TN November 1994 – June 2003 Mine Superintendent: Managed mining and mine closure operations at the Gordonsville mines. Direct reports included seven mine foremen and 75 hourly employees. Responsibilities included: maintaining production and safety targets at three mines; developing closure plans; forecasting manpower requirements; and communicating with the workforce. General Mine Foreman: Managed operations at a 3300 tpd mine operating 24 hours a day, 6 days a week. Responsibilities included: coordinating five mine foremen and 45 hourly employees working 3 shifts; forecasting production, development and ore grade; planning stoping and development drives; scheduling preventative maintenance; and coordinating with surface and underground maintenance operations, geology and engineering departments. Equipment Operator: Operated various kinds of heavy equipment during the 5-month work stoppage by the local union. Equipment operated: haulage truck, loader, mechanical scaler, roofbolt jumbo and rockbreaker. ALPM Shop Foreman: Implemented and supervised the Assembly Line Preventative Maintenance (ALPM) system. Supervised a five man maintenance/service crew that serviced all of the heavy equipment at all three mines in the operation; ordered parts; coordinated service schedules with the maintenance planner and mine foremen. Project Foreman: Completed various projects including: construction of the underground ALPM maintenance shop; recovery and repair of shaft infrastructure after a catastrophic counterweight tubing failure; planned and implemented a system to double the production of a mining community; ordered, tracked and expensed all mine consumables; interviewed and made recommendations for hiring of hourly and some salaried employees; and organized and supervised various construction and continuous improvement projects. Mine Foreman: Responsibilities included: supervision of mining crews of up to twenty-five men; ore grade control; membership on the mine's steering committee; communication and organization with the maintenance, geology and engineering departments; and weekly safety meetings.
