Over 20 years of diversified management experience with an extensive background in the management, selection and maintenance of vehicle fleets, over the road and off road construction machinery. Summary of Experience

May-December 2006 L. Dean Weaver Construction: North Charleston, South Carolina

Operations Manager: Assist the President in managing all aspects of the corporation with an emphasis on restructuring the current business model by separating the construction functions into operating divisions. Duties include the administration of the management team, budget development, marketing strategies, business development, review of fleet owning and operating rates, development of project costing matrix to allocate labor and equipment to activities with the ability to compare actual costs vs. bid / budget estimates and percent of project completion vs. cost to complete.

January 2004 - May 2006 Sanders Brothers Construction; North Charleston, South Carolina

Equipment Operations Manager: Responsible to the President for management of the mobile fleet of on-road vehicles and off-road heavy construction equipment, asphalt plants and portable crushing plants. Duties include vehicle and equipment selection and acquisition, disposal of surplus vehicles and equipment, and management of operating costs including maintenance and repair costs, develop and implement owning and operating rates for estimators and project managers, extending equipment life, improving equipment availability and maximizing resale values.

* Developed and implemented asset numbering system to track all of the equipment designed to streamline equipment and job costing.

* Developed and implemented work order system and maintenance and repair record system for equipment division and asphalts plants.

* Installed on road fuel dispensing system utilizing barcode technology to obtain regular odometer readings imported daily into the maintenance system for maintenance scheduling, tracking gas and diesel usage by employee and by vehicle eliminating theft.

* Developed standard maintenance groups tailored specifically for each type and class of plant equipment, on-road and off-road equipment. Maintenance groups were incorporated into the work order system. Hour meter and odometer readings imported into the system automatically generate a PM work order at the required maintenance level.

1992 - 2004 MORGAN CORP., Spartanburg, South Carolina

General Manager, Equipment Division: Responsible to Chief Executive Officer for management of the mobile fleet of on-road vehicles and off-road heavy construction equipment. The company currently operates in excess of 400 units. Duties include vehicle and equipment selection and acquisition, disposal of surplus vehicles and equipment, and management of operating costs including maintenance and repair costs, extending equipment life, improving equipment availability and maximizing resale values.

* Developed a program to schedule, track and enforce preventative maintenance for entire equipment fleet.
* Established guidelines for equipment life cycles to optimize equipment rebuild and replacement schedules.

* Implemented a "repair before failure" campaign outlining power train component life cycles along with component rebuilding guidelines.

* Overhauled "in-house" rental rates by developing an internal ownership cost and operating cost for each class and type of equipment.

* Centralized division purchasing, imposing specifications and quality standards.

* Negotiated extended equipment warranties from manufacturers.

* Developed ongoing comprehensive training program for maintenance personnel.

* Overhauled internal logistics, improving equipment delivery and reducing transportation costs.

* Managed all aspects of regional maintenance facilities in North and South Carolina.

1990 -1992 Y.C. Ballenger Electrical Contractors, Spartanburg, South Carolina

Corporate Equipment Manager: Responsible to Vice President for management of mobile equipment fleet of in excess of 1,000 units of on road vehicles and off road equipment working in the Southeastern United States. Also responsible for specialty tool division designed to support electrical transmission and distribution power line construction.

* Managed a division of more than seventy employees to repair and maintain entire mobile equipment fleet

* Staffed and managed two shifts for a thirty bay maintenance and repair facility in South Carolina and a six bay facility in North Carolina.

* Expanded company maintenance operation to include refurbishing program with a fabrication shop and an advanced paint facility to accommodate digger derrick and aerial lift trucks. Units would be disassembled, inspected and rebuilt to factory standards. The trucks were tested, re-certified, painted and returned to the fleet ready for work at 50 to 60% of new replacement cost.
* Directed tool division responsible for tracking, stocking, repairing and replacing specialty tools used on digger derrick and aerial lift trucks. Truck tool inventory value was $25,000 to $30,000 per truck with over 380 trucks in the fleet.

1977 - 1990 Sunny Slope Farms of South Carolina, Gaffney, South Carolina
1982 – 1990
Operations Manager: Responsible for highly mechanized fruit packing and storage plant and fleet of 250 + mobile units of agricultural machines, heavy earth moving equipment, trucks and vehicles used to operate 3,000 acre family owned fruit orchard.

* Designed, fabricated and installed fruit handling, processing and packaging machinery. Maintained 400 tons of ammonia refrigeration equipment and 1,500 kW emergency power generation facility for the plant.
* Designed and fabricated mobile chemical and pesticide application equipment for use in the orchards. Maintained irrigation system consisting of five stationary 1,200 GPM electric turbine pumps and four mobile 1,200 GPM diesel pumps with an 18 mile network of 8 inch underground pipe.
