Infrastructure Project Manager (March, 2003-December, 2007)- Exelon Corporation
* Managed the design and installation of a voice and voice messaging initiative to migrate telephony platform to digital and VOIP architecture. This $3.5M project included the development of the dial plan and voice messaging plan design, the creation of a disaster recovery strategy as well as the installation of equipment at the core site, disaster site and site gateways. Coordinated activities amongst network architects, voice engineering and server engineering as well as the legacy voice vendor. Installation of hardware began within 90 days after engaging vendor.
* Managed the migration of 16,000 mailboxes and 400 GB of public folders from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003. Developed project plan, managed hardware, storage and configuration design, coordinated installation of all hardware including blade center, SAN storage and infrastructure/network buildout.. Created and executed implementation strategy, established scope control processes and developed quality assurance program resulting in the successful and timely completion of this $5 million project.
* Managed the design and installation of a messaging platform disaster recovery initiative to resume mail operations within a 48 hour window. Using a proven and repeatable methodology for risk management, quality assurance and communication planning, this $1.5 million project completed 3 months earlier than originally scheduled with no impact to user community.
* Directed network IT infrastructure projects within a PMO for an energy utility. Managed the LAN upgrade of a mission critical dispatch distribution center requiring no outages during the upgrade. Supervised the equipment procurement, engaged the installation vendors, coordinated activities among network engineers, network operations, server engineering, site management and executive management. Projects successfully completed on time within budget with no impact to users.

* Developed quality assurance best practices for a Fortune 500 printing company's ERP application. Designed integrated testing strategies to exercise the interdependencies of the ERP solution with downstream shop floor applications. Recommended modifications for requirements gathering processes to identify user stakeholders¡¦ business needs and translate into functional requirements. Recommendations, including implementation of automated testing tools, to result in 20% capacity increase in testing.
Infrastructure Project Manager (April, 2002 - December, 2002)- Grainger.com
* Directed the migration of an e-business portal generating annual revenue in excess of $500,000,000 to a new web hosting site. Managed the third party web host provider to insure the on time delivery and configuration of hardware, infrastructure software, telecommunications, and network components. Facilitated the design of new processes to support a hot site for disaster recovery and preventative maintenance usage. Developed a risk management plan for the early migration of the site in anticipation of insolvency of the current web host provider. Cutover to new infrastructure completed on time resulting in no penalty costs with former web host.
Infrastructure Project Manager (March, 2001-February, 2002) - IRI Corporation
* Directed IT infrastructure projects in a Program Management Organization (PMO) for a leading global market research organization specializing in UPC scanner based solutions for the consumer package industry. Managed and facilitated the on-time completion of the following projects: an IBM OS/390 mainframe upgrade, a project to secure enable UNIX directories, a data center LAN upgrade, Windows 2000 rollout, the migration from NIS to DNS for host name resolution for TCP/IP applications, an Oracle upgrade and a UNIX server upgrade. Managed the design, development and implementation of a website that captured sales data from the leading global retail outlet.
Project Manager - Quality Assurance Manager (July, 2000-December 2000) - Exelon Corporation
* Directed for a PMO the quality assurance, testing and implementation of software designed to accommodate deregulation tariffs for the energy utility industry. Designed and executed an integration test that replicated the dataflow from the energy suppliers via EDI to the mainframe billing applications and to the Oracle data warehouse. The warehouse was supported by client/server and web based applications. Developed metrics to assess the quality and timeliness of software developed by a global consultancy.

* Managed the development and implementation of a business to consumer e-commerce web site. Duties included developing a project plan, leading requirements analysis, establishing intermediate milestones, and facilitating problem resolution among stakeholders. Developed and monitored SLA's with clients.
Quality Assurance Director (November, 1999-March, 2000)
* Developed and implemented a quality assurance organization for a software development and brokerage firm who specializes in client server and business-to-business internet solutions for the investment trading industry. Performed requirements analysis for the purchase of automated testing tools (Mercury and Segue) to test client server and web based applications. Developed procedures and trained staff to create test plans for black box, load, performance and failure testing for a computer-to-computer stock trading application which required 30 orders per second throughput.
Y2K Testing Manager (May, 1998-September, 1999)
* Managed a Y2K testing project composed of 10 quality assurance testers. Project team used automated system testing tools to test health and life insurance mainframe including DB2 and client server applications. A Y2K proven and repeatable testing methodology was employed resulting in the on time success of this project.
Implementation Project Manager (May, 1996-May, 1998)
* Managed the implementation of a managed care system for a 16,000 member HMO. Identified business requirements, configured databases, trained users, and provided on-site system implementation support. The software was installed meeting both time and quality objectives.
* Developed and executed a transition plan for clients to successfully assume system maintenance, which included capacity planning, software maintenance training, quality assurance training, and design training. Provided production support to clients using SLA's as a basis.
* Facilitated and executed a system migration for a third party administrator for over 500 policyholders in 6 locations. Migration included developing and executing a migration strategy, data mapping and data cleaning from source to receiving system, developing SLA's and providing best practices to accommodate new system.
