Commercial and Financial Skills I have successfully managed individual contracts in excess of 65 million dollars and in the majority of my roles have been responsible for operating and maintenance budgets in excess of 150 million dollars Interpersonal, Negotiation and Communication Skills I have demonstrated the ability to communicate with people at all levels. I have strong negotiation skills covering areas such as employee coaching and counseling, contract management and union disputations. Project Management A major initiative was to manage the Tahmoor North project with Austral Coal at Tahmoor Mine, this was a major mine expansion valued at approximately 180 million dollars and basically consisted of supplying a new mine within an existing infrastructure. This created some challenging issues as the existing mine had to continue to operate whilst the new plant and equipment was installed. Engineering and Maintenance Management I have established complete maintenance management systems for new operations and also introduced new and improved methodologies to existing mines. Operations Management I have managed complex multi site operations with success through a balanced approach ensuring world class standards in health safety and environment, management and development of people, continuous improvement in operational efficiency and finance management.
