Served as consultant in the development of the company's second commercial IRS Section 29 synthetic fuels plant at Birmingport, Alabama that was sold to and operated by Pacific Corp.

Client: Control Data Corporation Minneapolis, Minnesota
Served as chief industry liaison for the Control Data Corporation's Eastern Mining Technical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Responsibilities involved implementing worldwide technology to various coal companies through an integrated network of mainframe computers.

Client: Enoxy Coal Company, Inc. Buchannon, West Virginia
Completed geologic modeling, equipment simulation, mine planning, scheduling, and complete financial analysis for various mountaintop removal techniques implementing special handling and backfilling methods for acid producing material at the environmentally sensitive Upshur County Complex in West Virginia. Planned production for the four-seam mine exceeds 5,000,000 tons per year.

Client: Electricity Commission of New South Wales, Australia
Assisted in the conceptual mine design for the Port Arthur North Project, near Muswellbrook, New South Wales. Planned production form the mult-seam operation was planned to exceed 11,000,000 tons per year by dragline and truck/shovel mining methods.

Client: Coal Allied Operations Party, Ltd. New South Wales, Australia
Assisted in the preliminary mine design of the Hunter Valley No. 2 multi-seam operation near Singleton, New South Wales, Australia. The project included mine layout, equipment selection, and scheduling for the production of over 4,000,000 tons per year from 15 seams.

Client: Bethlehem Coal Company Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
Conducted geologic modeling and pre-mine planning for Bethlehem's seven seam, 2,000 acre High Power Mountain project in Nicholas Count, West Virginia.

Client: Office of Surface Mining Washington, DC
Served as Project Analyst for the programmatic environmental impact statement of the National Abandoned Mine Lands Program. Activities included evaluating the System 2000 Database and developing custom software for U.S. Congressional decision-making purposes.

Client: Sierra Coal Company Lexington, Kentucky
Developed geologic models representing general stratographic conditions for regulatory review of operations in a 12 seam 120,000 acre reserve in eastern Kentucky.
