Responsibilities involved implementing worldwide technology to various coal companies through an integrated network of mainframe computers. Client: Enoxy Coal Company, Inc. Buchannon, West Virginia Completed geologic modeling, equipment simulation, mine planning, scheduling, and complete financial analysis for various mountaintop removal techniques implementing special handling and backfilling methods for acid producing material at the environmentally sensitive Upshur County Complex in West Virginia. Planned production for the four-seam mine exceeds 5,000,000 tons per year. Activities included evaluating the System 2000 Database and developing custom software for U.S. Congressional decision-making purposes.
