PAST EMPLOYERS:

From early May 2007 to February 2009 I was employed by PanAust subsidiary Phu Bia Mining as Regional Geology Manager for Laos. This coincided with a large ramp up in exploration activities within the 2,600 km2 contract area in Laos. During 2007-8 I oversaw the building of a large +20 Geological Team and oversaw a US$20M budget (2008 calendar year) which included the acquisition of the largest aerial geophysical survey in Laos, extensive brown-fields and green fields exploration over a number of very exciting projects within the contract area.

The greatest success was the advancement of the Ban Houayxai epithermal gold deposit from an exploration project, through pre-feasibility and a decision to advance through to full feasibility in 2009. Other promising areas were identified and ranked for future work.

The current economic downturn saw a dramatic reduction in exploration expenditure resulting in a drastic cut in the Exploration Group at Phu Bia.

From April 2006 to April 2007 I was employed as the Vice President Exploration – China for Magnus International Resources Inc – a US-listed – Vancouver-based Junior. My duties included the overall implementation of exploration activities in China as well as supervision and implementation of Generative programs in China and Asia.

The main area of activity were active JV 's in Sichuan and Yunnan. Work also included Project Generation and evaluation in China and The Philippines.

I worked for Placer Dome Group of companies for nearly 18 years working in Australia, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, the Philippines, China and Mongolia. Most of my time with Placer has involved various secondments to various Mines – Misima and Kidston managing near-mine exploration programs, and managing exploration programs in various countries – Indonesia, Philippines and China.

I have spent two and half years working mainly in China with Placer Dome (China) Ltd. (November 2003 to March 2006) managing the exploration activities within China as well as Generative activities within China and the rest of Asia. Placer Dome (China) Ltd. My title during this period of time was Exploration Manager – Asia.

A major JV in Shandong Province was managed by myself. Work for Placer Dome China also included overview of projects and Generative activities in China as well as the evaluation of a number of projects in various provinces of China as well as several projects in Mongolia. A watching brief existed over all other Asian countries.

During my time in China I was an active member of the China Mining Association and was involved in various committees within this group relating to the new mining law.

PT. Placer Dome Exploration Indonesia: September 1995 to November 2003 - I spent 8 years seconded to PT. Placer Dome Exploration Indonesia where I have had various roles including Project Manager for the Kalteng Project in Kalimantan, District Geologist – Indonesia and Project Geologist – Indonesia and President Director of PT. Placer Dome Exploration Indonesia. I have also acted as Generative Geologist for Indonesia during 1996-97 examining potential JV opportunities for Placer.

In my role as Manager Projects – PDAP I managed all exploration activities for Placer Dome Exploration within Indonesia, The Philippines, China and the Asian Region.

Projects managed during this time included the Kalteng, Meratus, Sampanahan and Putussibau projects in Kalimantan, Bukit Hijau in Java, Awak Mas in Sulawesi, Paracale and Runruno in Luzon, Paco in Mindnao and Baguamiao in Shanxii Province in China.

During a portion of this period (2000-2004) I have also had the role as Manager of Minex Exploration (mine lease exploration) around Placer Domes existing mines in the Asia Pacific Region. The mines included in this brief included the Granny Smith, Osborne and Kidston in Australia, and the Porgera and Misima mines in PNG.

Kidston Gold Mines: July 1994 to September 1995 – I was seconded to the Kidston Gold Mine in North Queensland where I managed the delineation and exploration drill programs of the then newly discovered Eldridge Deposit at the north end of the Kidston breccia pipe. The deposit type is a Permo-Carboniferous hydrothermal intrusive breccia. The program involved the drilling of +120,000m in a little over a 12-month period using up to 6 rigs. This resulted in the delineation of a +1Moz gold deposit.

While at Kidston I was also in charge of the mine-lease exploration program immediately adjacent to the main mine.

Misima Mines Pty Ltd: January 1992 to June 1994 I was seconded to Misima Mines in the capacity of Senior Exploration Geologist. My duties have been to assess the potential of all mineralisation away from the main Umuna Deposit, a major fault hosted epithermal gold-silver deposit. My job has been to formulate and complete exploration programs ranging from regional to detailed prospect delineation and evaluation. These programs have involved the use of extensive geochemistry, drilling and some geophysics.

This period at Misima was particularly rewarding with the discovery and advancement of several prospects to delineation, evaluation and mining, including Kulumalia (±250,000oz), Ewatinona (±200,000oz), Kobel Block (±30,000oz) and Maika Block (±50,000oz).

The advanced project work at both Misima and Kidston has allowed me to gain exposure in ore body modeling and prospect evaluation and has given me great insight into what is a viable target.

Placer Exploration Limited: July 1988 - December 1991, Adelaide based. From July 1988 to June 1990 this employment was as a Contract Geologist, but from June 1990 until December 1991 I was on staff with Placer Exploration. My duties involved planning, implementation and management of exploration programs for a wide range of commodities including Pb-Zn-Ag (of Mt Isa type), Au (in mid-Proterozoic BIF's), Cu-Au (Lilydale, Olary) and mineral sand in terrains ranging from Mid to Late Proterozoic and Tertiary. Part of my duties were to conduct regional assessment and project generation within South Australia and western New South Wales.

Whilst working for Placer Exploration a number of extensive trips to Misima Mines were undertaken in the capacity of Exploration Geologist during the period from January 1989 to September 1991. This work involved in-pit delineation of the southern half of the Misima Deposit and regional exploration and evaluation within the Misima SML.

Tarcoola Gold Limited: July 1987 - June 1988. Senior Contract Geologist involved in regional exploration for gold in the area around Tarcoola in South Australia. This included a number of regional EL's as well as mapping, exploring and drilling of the old underground workings at the Tarcoola Blocks Mine.

Self Employed: December 1985 - June 1987 - unrelated to geology.

Electrolytic Zinc Co: April 1984 - December 1985 - Contract geologist in charge of exploration programs in the Flinders Ranges of South Australia. This involved the generation and supervision of detailed sampling programs, regional and detailed mapping of Cambrian and Adelaidean sediments, as well as the search for epigenetic fault related base and precious metals, and stratiform and sedimentary exhalative (sedex) Zn-Pb.

Utah Development Co: June 1980 - March 1994 - Senior Geologist in Adelaide office. While working with Utah I was involved in exploration for copper, base metals and gold all over South Australia, coal at Lake Phillipson and far North Queens land, and minor work in Western Australia (gold in Bangemalls Basin). The main emphasis of Utah's exploration programmes involved the search for stratiform copper in the sedimentary sequences of the Adelaidean fold-belt. During this period I had a team of young geologists working for me on the many projects that Utah had on it's books.

Utah Saudi Arabia Inc. Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: February 1979 - May 1980 - This was my first full-time position following graduation. I was employed as a junior geologist involved in grass roots exploration for stratiform copper in Late Proterozoic sediments of the Arabian Shield. Exploration involved detailed and reconnaissance mapping and sampling in some very remote and geologically interesting terrain.

Esso Australia - Minerals Division: November 1977 - February 1978 - Summer vacation employment while at University. The position involved mapping, sampling and griding of the mid-Proterozoic Carpentarian Basement in the Olary area on Kalabity Station, where base metals were the target.
