Responsible for all mining, diamond drilling and raise boring equipment and mechanical operations in the U.S. , Canada and South America.
Responsible for establishing preventative maintenance and repair programs; purchasing and procurement of equipment and parts; and the hiring, training and supervision of mechanics, both in the Denver shop and at each mining location.
Equipment responsible for includes the following: front end loaders, air track drills, excavators, compressors, diamond drills, dozers, dump trucks, fans, hoists, winches, generators, jumbos, crawlers, rock drills, graders, pumps and service vehicles.
Certified MSHA trainer.

Properties worked at in Canada include Canadian Tungsten Mining Corp., NWT; Granduc Operating Co., B.C., Cominco Pine Point, NWT and Newfoundland Zinc Project.
1973 – l977. Tara Mine (Lead/Zinc) Project, Republic of Ireland. Shaft sinking, rectangular timber shaft (9ft x 25ft, 1250 ft), 16 ft DIA concrete lined shaft (1250 ft deep), ramp development (6000 ft minus 20%).
As Mechanical Superintendent on this project I was responsible for the maintenance of all the mining equipment, setting up of a preventative maintenance program and establishing a training program for the Irish mining personnel (miners, mechanics and electricians).
My mechanical career began in Australia after five years apprenticeship with Imperial Chemical Industries of Australia and Dayton Tool Company. I worked as the mechanic/mechanical foreman for Mt. Isa Mines, Mt. Isa, Queensland, Australia, from 1964 – 67. After moving to Canada in 1967 I joined Cominco at Benson Lake, B.C., before joining Canadian Mine Services in 1970.
