Experience 2009-Present Hatch Mott Macdonald NY Lead Quality Engineer/Drill Blast Consultant MTA East Side Access NY Construction QA/QC management on The 8 billion dollar East Side Access subway construction project for New York City Metro Transit Authority. Manage 18 underground inspectors, two TBMs, two road-header and several drill & blast headings. Review blasting and ground support submittals for accuracy and constructability, assure Quality and Contract specifications are maintained. Act as public relations liaison to NYCT, MTA, NYFD, NYPD, and other agencies requesting tours of the project.

2008-2008 Jacobs Associates San Francisco, CA Chief Inspector/Consultant Heartland Corridor Roderfield WV Construction management inspection to insure quality control and contract specification requirements on a major Railway Tunnel retro-fit project with union workforce for Norfolk Southern. Duties include but not limited to Consulting with design and CM team to handle issues with possible methane gas in tunnel areas due to coal seams in overburden resulting in substantial savings, collecting progress statistics, updating and monitoring daily reports and logs on contract progress of structural grouting, ground support and shotcrete placement. Key person on Crystal Springs Water Tunnel bid. San Francisco Ca. Opened my own company and had to quit due to conflicting contract position.

2004 –2007 Delon Hampton & Associates Atlanta, GA Chief Tunneling Inspector/Drill Blast Consultant West Area CSO Atlanta Ga Construction Management Chief Inspector for Drill and Blast Shafts and tunnels on a $250 million CSO project in Atlanta., Oversee and Direct 10 inspectors on 7 sites, 4 Construction Shafts 40' diameter 100' to 175' deep, 1 intake shaft 20' diameter 100' deep, 1 overflow shaft 20' diameter 100' deep and 1 Pump station shaft 75' diameter 125' deep including initial support both ringsteel and lagging and sheet piles, permanent lining and contact grouting. Several thousand feet of Drill and Blast Starter and tail tunnels, Ten miles of 27' diameter TBM tunnel, Overflow and connector tunnels Excavation, Lining and Grouting were monitored also to insure contract compliance through monitoring daily shift reports Compile records for weekly progress reports. Assure compliance of blasting requirements for city, state and federal regulations. Serve in unofficial Public Relations Liaison position for city of Atlanta to communities during blasting operations. Compile and maintain blast data. Assist resident engineer with daily and weekly progress reports. Oversaw Drill/Blast within 75' of I-75 S.

1996 –2004 Dynatec Mining Contractors Various Loc.
Mine Foreman / Blaster Barrick Goldstrike Meikle Mine Elko NV Drill, Blast, Excavate and Line a 1400' x 21' diameter shaft for gold mine production. Including permanent lining and steel installation for 4 compartments. Deepen the same shaft to 1750' while in production 2 years later. Line Install steel and commission shaft. Drive 3600' of Decline 30'x36' for haulage, develop an underground shop and office area 60'x1200'x40' including bridge crane and fire door installation and commissioning, excavate and line ore passes and storage bins across several mine levels, Excavate and develop Crusher station 80'x200'x80' including setup and commissioning of 200 TPH crusher. Shotcrete line all these areas 8000+ yards. Process time and material estimates for construction bids. Directed daily safety meetings.
Mine Foreman / Blaster, Barrick Goldstrike Rodeo Mine Elko NV Drill, Blast, Excavate and Line a 1300' x 12' diameter shaft for aggregate storage. Included hoist and headframe setup.
Mine Foreman / Blaster Gassy Mine, FMC Corp Little America WY Drill, Blast, Excavate and Line an 800' deep 20' diameter ventilation shaft for a Trona mine.
Supervisor / Driller Cargill Salt Cleveland OH Control water inflow in Production and service shafts of a Salt mine by drilling and injecting High pressure Chemical grout. Changed out hoist ropes on both production skips. Inspected and replaced guides and steel in both shafts.

1995 –1996 Anglo Gold Elko, NV Drill and Blast Superintendent Murray Mine Elko NV Train and Supervise drill and blast crew in an underground gold mine. Drill and blast bench and face rounds. Operate Atlas Copco and Tamrock jumbos, Tamrock Solo and Ingersoll Rand air track drills. Wagner 3.5 and 6 yard Muckers. Wagner and Dux Haul trucks. Power trucks and Scissor Lifts. Motor Graders. Boom trucks and Backhoes.

1991 –1995 Tower Rock Stone Ste. Gen MO MO Surface Driller Ste Genevieve and Scott City Mo Drill and blast rock in both production and stripping areas in a surface limestone quarry. Operated Drilltech, Gardner Denver, Tamrock and Ingersoll Rand Air/Hydraulic and ITH Drills up to 6 3/4”. Cat and Dresser Loaders up to 993c. Cat and Terex haul trucks up to 777. Skidsteer Loaders.

1989 –1991 Cominco American Bixby, MO Underground Equipment Operator/Supervisor
Build and maintain roadways in an underground Lead mine. Operated Cat and Komatsu Loaders up to 980. Cat and Galion Road Graders. Cat Articulating Haul Trucks. Various Drills and High explosives.

1986-1989 Mid-Continent Resources Carbondale, CO Underground Lead Miner/Supervisor Red Stone Co Started out as the Safety/First Responder. Moved into coal mining and Lead Man position quickly. Mine caught fire and closed down.
