CAREER EXPERIENCE
Dyno Nobel Inc., Lindsay, Ontario 2003-2004
North American Industry Manager – Metals
Studied the current mining environment in the Sudbury camp for competitive product and service incompetence. Identified and established alliances with key mining personnel.
Regained INCO's and Falconbridge's confidence in Dyno Nobel after a three-year absenteeism in the Sudbury mining camp.
- Negotiated an explosives package for INCO's largest mine at a 45% increase over the current competitor's price while two years remained on their explosives contract.
- Accrued $100,000 to retrofit an existing piece of underground equipment and provided infrastructure for an alternative source of explosives.
- Fabricated the business model for Dyno Nobel to acquire immediate business and secure a position for the next five-year explosives contract bidding at INCO and Falconbridge in 2005 estimated to be $15 million annually.

Ensign Bickford Ltd./Ltee. Lindsay, Ontario 1990-2003
Canadian Manager (1995-2003)
Established Ensign-Bickford's distribution network for Canada, introducing and converting surface, underground, and pipeline markets to a totally new blasting system. Recruited and supervised four (4) field technicians and office administrator under a family umbrella style atmosphere while working by the motto of "whatever it takes."
- Acquired 33% of Canada's highly established initiation market from the entry level.
- Negotiated competitive price variances with Canadian distributors effectively enough to attribute 27% of The Ensign-Bickford Company's annual sales of detonators in North America for 1998.
- Co-ordinated expedite situations and oversaw the "request for product-to-delivery" process ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Technical Sales Representative (1990-1995)
Introduced and positioned Ensign-Bickford Ltd. products in all Canadian explosives markets. Utilized the "end user pull" philosophy to alert distributors' attention prompting them to get onboard with the revolutionary new blasting system. Three of the four major Canadian explosives companies preferred distributing Ensign-Bickford Ltd. products versus their own initiation systems.
- Trained pipeline personnel on a trial demonstration in Kenora, Ontario resulting in replacing the competitors existing initiation system for the entire pipeline contract.
- Re-established relationships with key surface blasting people at Lafarge Canada Inc. obtaining the blast initiations business across Canada for 12 years.
- Orchestrated underground trials at Placer Dome, Detour Lake, Patricia Gold, Campbell, Kinross, INCO, Falconbridge, and St. Andrew Mines converting them all to Ensign-Bickford Ltd. products reflective of the $16 million in sales in the fifth year since start up.

Ascertained training in all aspects of mine engineering, development and production procedures to function efficiently for any authoritative position.
- Supervised Production Blasting Department on a daily bases satisfying production and mill demand. Designed underground pillar blasts consisting 350,000 tons while minimizing over break and ground stress.
- Engineered mine ventilation plan from conception to completion effectively eliminating heating mine winter air using ambient rock temperature in abandoned stopes saving $175,000 annually.
- Supervised U/G production crew of 26 miners to move record amounts of ore to surface overcoming mill shortages without any safety infractions ever resulting.
