The department provided services in the areas Mine Planning, Metallurgical, Geologic, Hydrologic, Analytical Laboratory, and Surveying in support of two SXEW operations. Prepared and defended annual department operating budget. Evaluated performances and coached employees in key result achievement areas. Prepared and presented technical presentations in relation to site wide projects.

Senior Mine Engineer
09/1997-01/2001 BHP Copper Inc. Pinto Valley Operations, Miami, AZ

Primarily responsible for long range mine production scheduling for 150 ktpd open pit copper mine. Activities included development of copper mineralization block models, generating economic pit designs, and calculating copper ore reserves using MEDSystem mine planning software and AutoCAD. Coordinated annual ore reserve reporting and monthly production statistics reporting. Planned, scheduled and supervised leach dump construction and lixiviant application. Gathered and analyzed leaching process data and utilized interpretations to improve leaching procedures.
