Project engineered the installation of a new plant-wide reagent distribution system. Custom blended liquid collector was substituted for existing reagent scheme with a projected $1Million annual savings through increased recovery and reduction of labor costs.
Increased capacity 30% by recomissioning a mill section which had been inactive for 12 years requiring redesign of reagent delivery and instrumentation systems.
Researched the feasibility of alternative flotation circuit changes to reduce smelter stack emissions of mercury vapor by 80%. in order to avoid air quality violation penalties.
Managed all hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal for mill department. Reduced costs by 50% over original methods by improved handling and storage.
Developed a means for reducing build up of tellurium in refinery electrolyte. Assured that the finished cathode would meet COMEX specifications and remain saleable at top price.
