Employed by INGEOMINAS (Colombian Institute of Mining and Geology) as a Metallurgist/Chemist at the Minerals Engineering Laboratory, located in Bogotá, Colombia
Duties
* Supervision of samples preparation of industrials minerals, for subsequent analysis
* Assembly of analytical techniques and procedures to analyze minerals
* Coordinator of Quality Assurance Program at the laboratory.
* Operate metallurgical equipment including batch autoclave and mill, flotation cells, shaking tables, hydrocyclones, spiral test rig, magnetic separator, rotatory furnace, jig, sedigraph particle sizer.
* Operate analytical instruments including ; AAS, ICP PE Optima 3000, Gaussimeter, Leco Sulphur Analyzer.
* Develop and carry out metallurgical testwork to laboratory scale.
* Client liaison, discussing analytical results.
