Systems/Dispatch Engineer 1997 - Present

Two main responsibilities:
1.    UNIX Systems Engineer
2.    Dispatch Systems Engineer

1.    Systems Administrator responsibilities include exclusive maintenance of all UNIX servers running Solaris OS, 100 user accounts and privileges. Installation and configuration of external devices such as disks, tape drives, printers, and terminal servers. Administration of all background processes, cronjobs, and all ftp data transfers from Unix to PC systems. Have setup several NFS mounting systems. Experienced with configuration of SunOS, Solaris 2.5, 2.6, and Solaris 7 operating systems.

2. Dispatch Systems Engineer responsibilities include maintaining and continuous improvement of mine management real-time computer system (Dispatch) optimizing production of forty-one 240-ton haul trucks, eight shovels, seven drills, and twenty-seven units of auxiliary equipment. Each unit equipped with operator interface panels communicating with DISPATCH control. Accomplishments include retraining of all Dispatchers and departments to utilize the systems full capabilities. Implementation of GPS on all haul trucks, shovels, and auxiliary equipment for more detailed production analysis. Project leader of new fuel monitoring system on haul trucks to reduce frequency of trucks assigned to fuel bay. Result of this system increased gallons of fuel per fuel bay assignment for each truck by 33 percent. Patent pending. Created and modified numerous statistical reports for production data analysis and optimization. (C based Forms language created by Modular Mining). In charge of interfacing GE’s Statex real-time data to the Dispatch system.

MODULAR MINING SYSTEMS
Mining Systems/Site Engineer 1996 - 1997
A team member of international engineering projects involving installation and implementation of Dispatch systems. Responsibilities include client specific configuration of statistical mining reports, setup of interfacing equipment to track production activity, and training engineering and other personnel for daily system operations. Also, on call for client support of emergency situations. Installation projects include PT. Kaltim Prima Coal of Sangatta, Kalimantan Timur Indonesia; Bayswater Coal, Australia; Hibbing Taconite, Minnesota; Round Mountain Gold, Nevada, Asarco Inc. Arizona. Was also involved in several sales trips.

DREMCO ENGINEERING, INC.
Facility/Systems Engineer 1995 Summer Position
Contracted as an Engineer to assist in the setup of a copper extraction facility (SXEW) facility in Myanmar, Asia. Facility designs engineering and supervision of local area engineers assuring quality of equipment installation. Facility startup and modifications were also primary responsibilities.
