Mine Planning and Operations Control Engineer (2005 – present)
Orchestrated all faces of planning, Reporting (weekly/monthly). Design and simulate different options of mining, timing and scheduling. Coordinate Geology (sampling, structural) and topography (main and secondary entries, maps), volumetrics. Generate performance Indexes reflecting: Operations Efficiency, Costs, and finances. Suggesting the necessaries changes and adjustments to being done to the top managers.
HIGHLIGTHS.
- Active participation in the SEC (Stock Exchange Commodities) information committee for reserve certification.
- Extensive and Intensive collaborations with consultant, Government Agencies and suppliers firms: JOY, DBT, Fletcher, Colliers Co., SRK, Marshall Miller & Associates, NIOSH, US Foam Technologies, Fosroc, etc.
- South Africa: Benchmarking visit for Roof Bolting to Sasol Co. and Anglo Coal Facilities.
- Decisive participation on Pasta de Conchos Mine Rescue. Set a polymeric seal (underground) from surface to isolate high methane concentrations zones. Responsible to connect 32 drills hole for degassing purposes, from surface underground, and with out missing drill location due the social, political and cost pressures (300K USD) every one.
Contractor Operations Engineer / Supervisor (2002 – 2005)
Plan, supervise and control (cost plan against real) a wide spread kind of: conservation works / Coal extraction (Manual and Mechanized, Room & Pillar, Underground) and Open pit Operations (T-IV, T-South) / Remnant coal recovery at Underground Mine and Open Pit (Auger mining).
HIGHLIGTHS.
- PCU / 7.5% contractor global cost reduction, first year, and 3.5% second and third.
- T-IV / 500K USD on overburden cost savings by year.
- T-South / Initial and Basic Feasibility studies / Overburden Extracted without blasting due nearest to population area.

Guide and monitoring main and secondary entries aligned to the project, Special Projects, Volumetric Calculations: Underground mine and Open Pits, Computer Software: AutoCAD, CivilCAD, GMS, Leica Survey, GPS, Total Stations, Mine Maps.
