Development of ilmenite beneficiation process
* Responsible for identifying suitable process. for ilmenite beneficiation
* Studying various available beneficiation processes worldwide and getting first hand information
* Visited potential technology providers and critically reviewed the pilot plant operations
* Reviewing mass and energy balance on pilot plant scale
* Techno commercial feasibility study conducted

Valuable material recovery from process effluent (Project cost ~ US$ 2 million)
* Development work for recovering valuable material from existing process effluent

* Incharge for developing a process for ilmenite beneficiation by high temperature chlorination of ilemnite in a fluid bed reactor. Reporting to -Technical Director
* Involved from literature survey and bench scale trials for developing the process
* Worked under the guidance of Dr.Wendell Dunn (Ex-Dupont) who was the consultant to Heubach
* Successfully commissioned a pilot plant and demonstrated a process for ilmenite beneficiation ('Reptile' process); patent granted to Heubach Color Pvt Ltd.
* Received letter of appreciation from chairman Mr.Rainer Heubach for successfully demonstration of the process for chlorine recovery from iron chloride
* Worked for preparing a Basic Engineering Report and a Technical feasibility report for a commercial scale Synthetic Rutile plant.
* Worked for preparing a budget for a commercial scale plant (15,000tpa) of Synthetic rutile.

* In addition to the activities in TiO2 project, I was also looking after production activities of 200 tpm Aluminum Tri Hydroxide (ATH) Plant.
* The process for manufacturing ATH from pthalocynine green pigment effluent was a result of in-house R&D activity

* Responsible for raw material planning, production planning, preventive maintenance, safety, co-ordination with service and marketing department.
