OBJECTIVES: Mining Engineer (Surface & Underground)

QUALIFICATIONS: Almost twenty years experience in the Ghanaian Mining Industry mainly with Anglo Ashanti Goldfields, Obuasi and Teberiebe Goldfields Tarkwa, Ghana. Worked through the ranks from "Overman" and became Senior Mine engineer South Section of the Obuasi Mine that produced almost 50% of the total mine ore. Areas of Operation included Shrinkage Stopes, Cut and Fill, room and Pillar, and Sub-Level caving. And also in charge of 3 sectional shift bosses and 50 underground mine workers.

Acquired good communication and interpersonal as well as computer skills for mine planning & design.

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:
1. Forklift Operator: 2001 to Present
Company: Kenco/ Whirlpool Electrical Appliances, Atlanta - Georgia

Duties: Use forklift to receive inbound and outbound units, inventory control, Data Entry and Cycle Count.

2. Mine Shift Supervisor: 1993 to December 2000.
Company: Teberiebe Goldfields, Tarkwa - Ghana.
Duties:
- In charge of three (3) Mining Pits namely; Awonabin, Teberiebe and Mantram Open Pits.
- Directly supervised 35 mine operators and a fleet of mining equipment namely; three(3) front electric shovels (Cat. 5230), 30 Haul Trucks (Cat 773), 4 rubber tire pushers, 5 Cat 14G Motor Grader, 3D10N Cat truck dozers, etc.
- Monitored mining methods and equipments with a view to improving performance.
- Assisted in developing and managing waste dumps and stockpile designs.
- Assisted in identifying course of action to improve safety, operational efficiencies, controlled production cost and environmental protection policies.

3. Mine Shift Boss (Mine Foreman Underground) - 1985 to 1993
Company: Anglo Ashanti Goldfields, Obuasi - Ghana.
Duties:
- Coordinated between employer and the underground labor force to ensure that operational targets are achieved.
- Undertook Underground Mining training and obtained the under listed mining certificates:
a. Blasting Certificate(#8418) - July 1987
b. Mine Fire and Rescue Brigade Certificate - October 1987
c. Mine Shift Boss(Foreman) Certificate - December 1987
d. Mine Captain Certificate(Surface) - July 1997
