Our company is a 100% EOU, ISO 9001-2000, ISO 14001 certified public sector undertaking. We produce iron ore concentrate and iron oxide pellets with an annual turnover of Rs.2000 crores.

I belong to Instrumentation & Hardware department (Pellet Plant) and the activities include maintenance and calibration of analog/smart field instruments for process installations, trouble-shooting and repair/programming of
Microprocessor based circuitries, Motorola wireless sets, and other analog and digital instruments used in our completely automated plant. We are using Tata-Honeywell's TPS Distributed Control Systems for total plant control. We are using SCADA soft wares like WinCC for various process applications.

Experience in Tata-Honeywell TPS System:
Our Tata-Honeywell TPS system with LCN has got three UCNs on which 9LMs(IPC 620-35), 2APMs, 1HPM, 5 $US, a GUS and PCNM are connected. System is totally redundant by configuration. A MS_Loader PC is connected to view all LM status.
I am taking care of the regular preventive / breakdown maintenance of the DCS system. Repair of all types of system power supplies and DI/DO cards are being done in our Hardware Lab. Responsibility includes change in system logic, point building, saving back up etc. as and when required

Achievements:
q I was a core team member in commissioning of our Tata-Honeywell TDC 3000x, Release 430 System. In this project we have installed 6 $US Stations Seven LM`S and Two APM`S.
q Instrumentation in-charge of commissioning of Rollerpress by Ms.KHD, Germany.
q Instrumentation in-charge of commissioning of Shaft palletizing Furnace by Ms.Maumee Research & Engineering Inc, Ohio, USA.During this we added One APM & One LM to our system.

q Trouble shooting and repair of Honeywell circuit boards and CRTs.
q Installation of additional AI/AO processor cards to one of the APMs and addition of channel to one of the LMs.
q I was a core team member in the migration of our Tata-Honeywell TDC 3000x, Release 430 to TPS Release 620.4. In this project we have upgraded all the consoles and NIMs with K4LCN16 boards; a GUS was installed; changed one of the APM to HPM to increase number of process units.
q Instrumentation in-charge of commissioning of 3 Ball mills for grinding hematite ore.

I have got additional experience in Modicon PLC.
