The position Objective is to lead the technical development and implementation of geochemical methods within Boliden's exploration programmes. I am part of a small group of in-house specialists and work together with and assist other geologists and geophysicists in a diverse range of exploration projects. In a variety of contexts I am included in groups that plan and carry out special projects for the company's development. My contract is postponed until July 2009 due to world financial crisis and dramatic fall in metal prices. My main duties summarise as:

* Responsible for technical development, training, supervision and support in the area of geochemistry and geochemical sampling.
* Develop and supervise routines for sample collection and geochemical analysis, liaise with the geochemical laboratories used by the exploration department, and collaborate with the department's geo-data group to ensure effective storage and retrieval of data.
* To ensure that projects follow the laws and rules that apply to mining and exploration activities and ensure that the company's values are maintained.
* Play a major role in helping design and implement new techniques, ensure that the company has good routines and that these routines are followed by the geologists who are doing the sampling and interpretation.
* Supervising sample handling, QA/QC, liaison with the various laboratories we use, and helping the exploration geologists with all sorts of different projects and questions, prepare geochemical data and interpretations, and production of geochemical maps etc.
