PROFILE:

A Mining Technologist with a wide range of experience in the mining industry, specifically opencast iron ore. Proven experience in the mine planning, especially short term production planning, together with production experience, provides a solid expertise base in hard rock mining. Very much a team player, but also functions well as an individual. Strongly driven by the belief that only hard work and perseverance will make you achieve technical excellence. Great love for statistics and people leading to excellent communication skills.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS:

Becoming part of the Mineral Resource Management team in one of the most challenging environment were there are considerable variation in grade along the resource.

Involved in various actions to move to an environment were batch blending could remove difficulties associated with continuous blending.

Responsible for mine design, long-term planning, short-term scheduling of Khumani mine and Beeshoek Iron Ore Mine, as well as the responsibility to contribute as a team member towards ensuring adequate quality control of final product to meet customers specifications.

Dec06 – Jun 07 Resources Coordinator Short-term manager and Medium-term planner(Anglo Platinum)
Responsible for the managing of the short-term planning process, as well as the crusher feed to meet the targets of the business plan. Getting involved in medium-term planning, to ensure that the plans are achievable.

Nov 04 – Dec 05 Resources Coordinator Short-term Planning (Anglo Platinum)
Responsible for the short- term scheduling (weekly and monthly plans) of all mining activities, and to control deviation on the monthly plans to ensure compliance to the yearly budgeted plans.

Perform medium-term planning that included planning from present up to a four-month period. The functions of this planning are to give guidance to the short-term planner and to identify any changes in infrastructure well ahead of time
