Current Job Profile:

Quarry Foreman in Qatar Quarry Co LLC, part of the Lafarge group.
Producing approx 50,000 tonnes per day of various limestone materials. I
am responsible for all operations on site in my shift, including Drilling & Blasting,
4 crushing plants, 5 grizzly screening operations producing over
40,000 tonnes per day, 2 X 1000 tph Trommel Barrel screens, over 60
machines and over 170 employees. The quarry operates 24 hours a day,
7 days a week and has a multi cultural and multi lingual workforce, mainly from India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and the Philippines. I am also responsible for ensuring high levels of Health & Safety in this busy working environment.
The majority of the materials produced are used in the Ras Laffan Industrial City project. This is a multi million tonne joint venture project with Qatar Petroleum and Boskalis to create two breakwaters for the oil and gas industry.

Qualifications:

* Diploma in Mining Engg- Kalinga Institute of Mining Engineering & Technology,Orissa, India.
* Foreman certificate of competency issued by Director General of Mine Safety, India
* First-a-Aid certificate (Voucher) from John Ambulance, India
* Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application from Orissa Computer Accademy,Orissa, India.
* Intermediate in Science.

Overall open cast mines managemen
Worked with various heavy earth moving equipments such as Excavators,Wheel loaders,Dozers,Graders,Grabs,Brakers,Dump trucks(Cat,Volvo,Atlas Cop Co,Ingersoll Rand,L & T, Hitachi,Doosan etc)
Pumping and Dewatering & pump installation in open caste mines.
