Research involves understanding global climatic changes by remote sensing; examining and performing statistical tests on satellite images of South America. Duties include collection of data from satellite images, georeferencing remote sensing images, and performing statistical analysis on data.

    Jan 1999-current: Research Assistant to Dr. Robert Miller at San Jose State University. Research involves helping create and maintain a database of structural data of rocks in the Cascades, Washington. Duties include data collection through field work, construction of structural maps, editing papers and reports, and maintenance of the database.

    Aug 1998-Dec 2000: Teaching Associate at the Department of Geology, San Jose State University. Teach undergraduate students basic concepts in geology, as well as meteorology, oceanography, and astrology. Duties include creating laboratory assignments, lecturing, grading, and assisting on field trips.

    Jun-Aug 1999: Teaching Assistant for a six-week undergraduate geology field course in eastern Nevada and eastern California. Duties included assisting students in field mapping, data analysis, report writing, and critiquing individual performances for a grade.
