Experience:
Having more than 19 years experience in Mechanical Maintenance and in the Execution of Project jobs and Modification Jobs in cement industries and in Sponge Iron Steel Industries.
From July, 2004 to till date: Presently working as Mechanical Engineer in Engineering Services & Engineering & maintenance planning Department (ES & EMP) of Qassim Cement Company in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia & Reporting to department head. Have gained good experience in Maintenance & knowledge of M/s. FCB Pyro-section, M/s. KHD cement mill & Raw mill for Plant #1 and M/s. IHI Pyro-section & Cement mill and M/s. UBE vertical raw mill for Plant # 2, M/s. IHI Pyro, IKN Pendulum cooler, M/s. FLS cement mills and Vertical Raw mill. Plant # 1 capacity: 2800TPD, Plant# 2 capacity: 2200TPD. Plant # 3 capacity: 4500TPD.
Responsibilities:
1. Inspection of equipments and to take corrective actions for smooth and continues operation.
2. Identify, evaluate, co-ordinate plant operational and maintenance related improvements, break down analysis, and support plant in trouble shooting to improve plant availability and equipment reliability.
3. Formulation of standardizes procedures for equipment e.g. PM procedures to implement in JDEdwards system.
4. Execution of Modification & Project jobs successfully.
5. JDEdwards (Release 8.12version) Work Order System for Preventive Maintenance Schedules.
6. To update plant layout drawings.
7. Preventive (Predictive & Periodic preventive), Planned & Shutdown Maintenance Planning and execution.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and Supervise project engineering and development works for plant modifications.
2. To develop, design and prepare drawings for spare parts components, devices and equipment for local manufacturing.
3. Work with in-house personnel and/or identify and guide vendors to fabricate components, devices, tooling and systems to enhance machinery and equipment.
4. To execute various interdisciplinary projects: new products, processes, material handling, efficiency and cost reduction and provide engineering support for project implementation.
5. Vibration Analysis and Corrective Actions with usage of Microlog CMVA60 SKF Analyzer.
6. Laser Alignment through Rotalign laser Alignment tool of Pruftechnik AG.
7. Dynamic Balancing of Process Fan Impellers with SKF Microlog CMVA60 Analyzer.
8. Co-ordinate with M/s. FLsmidth Hot Kiln Alignment professionals, USA, Involved in kiln alignment measurements on Plant # 2 Three Pier Kiln in 2006 and also, with M/s. Phillips Hot Kiln Alignment professionals, Bombay, India. Involved in kiln alignment measurements on Plant # 1 Two Pier Kiln in 2007 and supporting rollers adjustments successfully by me as per recommendations. Co-ordinate with M/s. KHD Hot kiln alignment professionals, Germany, in Plant # 3 IHI kiln laser alignment measurements in 2008.
9. Reviewing project & modification documents prior to issue for scope and presentation, including checking for technical accuracy.
10. Developing and maintaining positive, sustainable client relationships & Coordinating and working with project team members.
Project Jobs:
1. Execution of modification of cement Mill air separator of M/s. KHD by M/s. LVT air separator.
2. Execution of Kiln outlet end shell replacement (about 4.2M long of M/s. FCB) by M/s. IHI supplied.
From August, 2003 to July 2004: Worked as Project In-charge of New Sponge Iron Plant (extension of existing M/s. Vijaya Steels Plant) in Bangalore, Karnataka. Responsible for Supervision of Civil works, Erection & Commissioning. Reported to General Manager (Works).
From November 1999 to August 2003: Worked in M/s. My Home Cement Industries, Mellacheru, Andhra Pradesh as Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in various sections. Have good experience in Preventive, Breakdown Maintenance & Shutdown Maintenance and also in Condition Monitoring of equipments with SPM vibration analyzer (A30 Model). Plant#1 Capacity: 1800TPD of M/s. WalChandnagar Industries Ltd. and Plant# 2 Capacity: 2500TPD of M/s. Fuller India Ltd. Reported to Dy. General Manager (Operations & Maintenance)

1. Successful execution of project Erection & Commissioning of Vertical Raw Mill (M/s. FLSmidth) size: 32.5 & Other Auxiliary equipments.
2. Execution of project Coal Mill Bag Filter (M/s. Thermax) and accessories.
3. Involved in the project of conversion of Raw Mill (Ball mill) to cement mill and successfully commissioned with throughput of 75 TPH cement.
4. Involved in erection and commissioning of cement mill- II 120 TPH of M/S FLS (UNIDAN MILL), 90 TPH ROTARY PACKERS- 2 Nos. of M/S EEL, NEW DELHI.
5. Involved in reconditioning of cement mill girth gear (twin drive mill) of FULLER KCP LTD.
6. Involved in re-commissioning of FRF silo, Fly ash Silo, RABH (reverse air bag house make of FFBH. & COOLER ESP (ACC make).
From Sept, 1998 to Nov. 1999: Worked in M/s. Phillips Hot Kiln Services, Bombay as Alignment Engineer. During my tenure, have done Hot Kiln Laser Alignment around 15 different size cement kilns. Supervision of replacement of supporting roller, Shimming under Tyre Section, Supporting roller adjustments for alignment correction.
From March,1990 to Sept, 1998: Worked in Sponge Iron Steel Plant, in Bellary (Karnataka State) in Project execution & Commissioning and also continued in Maintenance Section as Maintenance Engineer.
Responsibilities: Erection & Commissioning of Rotary Kiln, Cooler, Raw Material preparation & Feeding Equipments, Utility Equipments.
ACHIEVEMENTS IN CARRIER:
Letter of Appreciation from Works Manager for the successful involvement in Breakdown Root Cause Analysis & Why-Why Analysis. (In QCC, KSA)
Letter of Appreciation from General Manager for outstanding performance during the year 2006.(In QCC, KSA)
Study & implement Standardization of spares to minimize inventory levels (In India).
Many small modifications and Kaizens towards Power Savings and also to reduce Maintenance Cost. (In QCC, KSA and also In India).
Replacement of grease lubrication bearing housing by Oil lubrication housing of Vertical Raw Mill circulation fan and successful in reducing bearing temperatures. It has been also appreciated by supplier and working smooth.
Study & Replacement of Geared Couplings in critical equipments by suitable Pin-Rubber bush couplings/tyre couplings for easy maintenance/inspection and to reduce maintenance cost. It was successfully working. Appreciated by Department Head.
