TEAM LEADER / CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR INVENTORY MANAGEMENT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (May 2006 – Sept 2008) Seconded to Shell BV Netherlands and assigned to NLNG (Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Company) 22 million tonnes per year production operation via 6 trains, (Company is jointly owned by Shell 26%, ENI 10%, Total 15%, and Nigeria National Petroleum Company 49%) to manage this Operations Project on Bonny Island in Nigeria. This is a inventory study and strategy for the cataloging of 33,000 Shell MESC line items of capital spare parts inventory, long term it will qualify OEM bidders, populate their computer database using PACER software, generate procurement of spare parts including supply, logistics, inventory, warehousing, and preservation. Supervision / training of 2 host nationals in Nigeria and contract administration for a team of 6 offshore expatriate cataloguing specialists working in the UK and Norway.
PROCUREMENT COORDINATOR: July 2005 – April 2006: seconded to ABB Process Solutions & Services SpA, Milano, Italy in a joint venture as EPC contractor for Foster Wheeler, Reading, UK for client Thai Oil, on a US$150 million dollar oil refinery revamp in Sriracha, Thailand. Responsibility for a 10-package Critical Equipment Procurement Plan. Supervise Thai engineering 3rd party inspection and expediting companies, supporting 900 construction field forces, purchasing budget US$29 million. Supervise 3rd party international inspection and expediting contractors in eight countries for project support.
PROCUREMENT MANAGER: October 2004 – June 2005: seconded to Equinox Energy Limited, Saskatoon, Canada as Project Procurement Manager for client Husky Oil Canada on a US$110 million Ethanol Plant EPCM Construction Project in Northern Saskatchewan, Canada. Responsibility for procurement, tendering, negotiating, buying, expediting for US$30 million supply budget.
PROCUREMENT MANAGER: March 2004 – September 2004: seconded to Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company (GNPOC), Khartoum, Sudan. Procurement and logistics management providing support to remote 500,000 bpd oil production facility. Process plant: 6 pumping stations with associated marine terminal, 2 diesel-fired electricity generating stations and 102 large diesel generators. Procurement and supply-chain expertise for OEM spare parts. Equipment vendors: Cummins, Weir, Rolls Royce Allen Diesel, Wartsila. Based in client HQ CPL department to manage procurement operations for fast moving supply-chain from MR to point-of-delivery at site.
