Duties: Management of design, engineering and construction of a 30k mtpd crusher, 400,000 square meter leach pad expansion, and process plant expansion for the CHS 217 Heap leach Project in Inner Mongolia, Peoples Republic of China. Responsible for all aspects of engineering, construction management, equipment procurement and contractor selection.

Process Manager 10-2006 to 12-2007
Duties: Management of construction and start up of the CHS 217 Heap leach Project. Responsible for all aspects of the Heap Leach, Process Plant, Laboratory including Maintenance. Total staff of 88. Trained Chinese nationals with little and no experience to operate a 20,000 tonne per day heap leach and 800 cubic meters per hour ADR plant. Successful on schedule startup and gold production in July 2007.

PT Freeport - Indonesia
Metallurgical Projects Superintendent 10-2005 to 10-2006
Duties: Project management and economic analysis of feasibility work to identify benefit of concentrator improvement opportunities. Management of approved projects to ensure completion to operations and maintenance requirements. Mentor subordinate staff in aspects of project metallurgy and project management. Current projects include:

* Flotation re-grind gravity concentrator post project analysis and report,
* SAG mill reject ball recovery plant,
* Flotation reagent system upgrade,
* Mechanical scavenger regrind bypass,
* Primary rougher concentrate bypass to final concentrate, and

Lone Tree Mine/Phoenix – Newmont Nevada
Chief Metallurgist Phoenix Engineering 6-2004 to 12-2004
Duties: Newmont engineering representative for the Phoenix project with AMEC engineering in Vancouver Canada. The Phoenix project is a new 36,000 ton per day copper/gold flotation mill located east of Battle Mountain Nevada. The major recovery unit operations are gravity gold concentration, flotation, and CIL leaching. Engineering duties included review and approval of all engineering documents:

* Flow sheets,
* P&IDs
* Engineering specifications,
* Equipment technical and commercial evaluations, and
* Plant Layout.

Chief Metallurgist 2-2003 to 6-2004 & 12 -2004 to 10-2005
Duties: Supervised technical staff for the Lone Tree process operations. Performed training, scheduling, performance appraisals, and project oversight. Coordination of manpower to provide technical support for various plant projects including:

* Maximizing gold production/cash flow,
* Met Accounting,
* Lab/Met Lab, Refinery operation,
* High pressure grinding roll evaluation,
* Heap leach inventory reduction,
* Grinding and reagent optimization,
* Short and long range planning.
* Construction projects - tailings dam phases 9-12, heap leach pad expansions.

Western Nevada – Newmont Nevada
Chief Metallurgist 6-2002 to 2-2003
Duties: Supervised technical staff for the Lone Tree and Twin Creeks process operations. Projects included: Strip Circuit modifications to increase capacity, acid heap leach water treatment, flotation plant upgrades, heap leach pilot plant testing, and mercury scrubber installation.

Twin Creeks Mine – Newmont Nevada
Senior Plant Metallurgist 7-1996 to 6-2002 Duties: Oversaw various technical service projects and duties relating to the process operation. Installed and maintain a networked process data acquisition system for three mills and the site power distribution system. Responsible for reporting process production and metallurgical accounting as well as royalty and joint venture payments.
Also supervised three plant metallurgists and met support personnel. Have been involved with scheduling ore blending, process forecasts, site water balance, and budgeting.
Construction Engineer 2-1995 to 7-1996. Duties: Management representative for several process construction projects including: tailings system expansions, water treatment plant, and mine water distribution pond. Performed all cost tracking and contractor work inspections as well as coordinated operations tie-ins.
Metallurgical Lab Supervisor 6-1994 to 2-1995. Duties: Formally reported metallurgical test-work. Installed and started up assay lab information system.

Process Lab Supervisor/Metallurgist 7-1992 to 6-1994. Duties: Reported directly to the Metallurgical Superintendent. Directed and supervised process lab crews. Reported process lab metallurgical test-work, process reagent inventory, water balance, and process gold inventory. Metallurgical involvement in process modifications and operation issues.
