I started my professional career in January 2007 as a Graduate Mine Geologist following my graduation from the University of Melbourne. George Fisher Mine is a world class zinc, lead, silver deposit situated 20km from Mount Isa in North West Queensland. During my time here I have carried out a diverse range of activities such as 3 months worth of core logging, extensive underground mapping, preparing daily geology reports, wireframing and data interpretation, stope reconciliations, underground rounds as well as exposure to planning diamond drilling targets. An essential part of the role includes liaising with other technical services professionals as well as underground operators and mine management.

2005- 2006 Safeway
Cleaning the meat section at Safeway, duties involve hosing down the room, cleaning of the machines making sure that the whole room is clean and sanitised. The job is completed by myself and is needed to be done meticulously. Requiring initiative, and attention to detail.

2004 - 2005 Career People
A casual labor hire agency I was with for approximately 18 months. It involved working in warehouses / factories doing general laboring factory hand duties, such as picking, packing, lifting etc. It involved physical work, being very safety conscious around heavy machinery and often 12 hour shifts.
