CAREER SYNOPSIS

An M.Tech in Mining from ISM Dhanbad and MBA in Systems from IISWBM Kolkata, with 14+ years of rich and extensive experience spread across various areas of mine planning, hardcore operations, projects and corporate level planning with Steel Authority of India Ltd, JSW Steel Ltd in India and overseas. Have recognition of Indian Bureau of Mines as RQP (Recognised Qualified Person) for preparing mining plans. Involved in planning and exploration of a new mining project in Chile. Exposure in leading a shift of entire work force producing 3.44 Mill Tons iron ore, involving Drilling & Blasting, Production Planning & Control functions, Logistics, MIS. rail logistics for iron ore, interfacing with Indian railways, steel plants & mines from corporate levels in India. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
March 2008 – Till Date Santa Fe Mining- Chile a JV of JSW Steel Ltd, Mumbai
Was the first person to arrive at the project site at Chile for opening up of a virgin magnetite hilly deposit. Organised the exploration drilling campaign through help of consultants. Gained fairly good idea of magnetite deposit and exploration of the same.
Based on block models and slice plans prepared by the consultant designed the pits using Surpac, planned layout of installations etc in Acad. Associated in Environmental and other clearances etc for the project.
Prepared scope of work for contractual mining and processed for finalization of bid process for selecting suitable mining contractor. Used Surpac, Acad.

Aug 2007 – March 2008 JSW Steel Ltd, Mumbai
Spearheading various mine acquisitions and coordinating with various JV partners for coal mines allocated by Ministry of Coal. Selecting mine contractors by International competitive bidding. Coordinating with International Mining Consultants.
