* Perform research on shear strength and slope stability of rock piles at the Chevron Questa mine.
* Assist in development of a new technique to measure in-situ shear testing at the Chevron Questa mine Perform in-situ direct shear test to determine in-situ shear strength parameters and analyses results the Chevron Questa mine
* Perform a variety of geotechnical laboratory tests (Particle size sieving, Hydrometer test, Atterberg limit test, Laboratory direct shear test, Specific gravity, Point load test, and Slake durability test) and interpret results
