I am a Phoenix, Arizona based contract Geologist looking for projects, assignments, or employment. I am willing to travel. I am looking for opportunities in the Mineral exploration, Mining, or Geoscience fields.
I have Exploration experience in Arizona porphyry base metal projects as well as Sediment hosted, and Bonanza style Nevada gold projects. I have also recently worked on Peruvian projects. My experience includes surface Geological mapping; Underground Geological and Structural mapping; Grass roots exploration; Core and RC drilling, logging, directing drilling; Project logistical planning and implementation; Sampling of all types. Additional skills include: Land Surveying, GPS and traditional methods; Topographic Mapping skills in the Surveying and Photogrammetric fields; Permitting exploration projects; Land Status research; CAD and GIS skills.
My services have included: Field and office based support of Mineral Exploration projects. Project Management or assistance to projects. Including logistics, finding local contractors, surface or underground geology, and sampling. Late 2007 to early 2009 Description of major activities:

* TK project, Nevada, USA; GSC Ltd: Walker Trend Nevada. Organized and managed a track-hoe costean sampling program. Program built upon results of earlier soils, rock, and geological mapping. Identified significant multiple intrusives. Isolated and identified structural patterns and potential trends. Consulted with contractors, consultants and federal agencies. Performed sampling of the exposed rock. Generated reports of project results for the client, and compiled data for use in a GIS program.

* NM project, Arizona, USA; GSC Ltd: Surface sampling programs and geological mapping. Organized and designed claim staking program for contract crew. Completed field geology mapping, and sampling program.

* MP project, Peru S.A.: GSC Ltd: Two day trek into project at 5000meters (16,000) feet. Focused sampling and reconn mapping over gold copper porphyry intrusive. Quick sampling program at two other grass roots level projects in remote areas of Peru. Edited company project report and suggested additional descriptions of alteration. Recent work ultimately resulted in a JV option of the property in September 2008 to a major mining company.

* Grass roots projects, Southern and Central Arizona; GSC Ltd: Part of team of international geologists. Visited multiple projects where we collected stream sediment, soil and rocks samples. Team identified several potential porphyry and gold targets during program.

* BM, NSW, Australia; GSC Ltd: Field trip to project to inspect recently drilled core and historical surface workings for a VMS project.

* SP Project, Arizona, USA; ACC corporation: Organization of local contractor for road and pad layout in preparation for upcoming drilling project. Consultations with Forest Service regarding earthwork and drilling plans. Contacted and discussed project with local rancher resulting in a good relationship with him. Found and hired an experienced local contractor which resulted in significant cost saving for client. Found potential water sources for project. GPS GIS grade mapping of historical drilling roads and pads. Used data from the 1940's to 1970's including surveying, underground mapping, and current GPS data to reconstruct surface positions for four previous exploration companies historical drill locations.

* MP project; HPM company: Directed and oversaw RC drilling project in far Western Nevada Drilling program testing for Bonanza style mineralization in caldera volcanics and Paleozoic units. Correctly identified and hit targeted geological units and structures during drilling. Performed additional surface mapping. Generated reports and digital logs of results. Kept drilling contractor under budget and completed project within BLM timeframe of bat habitat requirements.

* Em/Won project: GOE Inc.: Southwestern Nevada; Walker trend historical gold producing mine: Surface underground mapping of historical workings, geology, structure, and alteration..Transferred all data to CAD. Professional output to paper and digital maps for client.

* SM West project: Arizona; LGM ltd. Helicopter supported drilling program. Drilled three holes in potential copper porphyry terrain, targeting chalcocite blankets and a porphyry copper deposit. Geological mapping of window and part of adjacent State land section.

* McFadden Peak fluorspar project; Arizona, USA: Performed claim staking services for Arizona based client. Suggested events and contacts for acquiring funding.

Projects 2004 to 2007:

+ Managed multiple Nevada drilling projects in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Geologically I worked in Sediment - Hosted (Battle Mountain-Eureka trend); Bonanza style gold mineralized projects of Western Nevada (Walker lane shear zone gold projects). Clients included multiple Canadian Junior companies. Services Included: Field management of core drilling, and reverse circulation drilling. Directed contactor drilling locations, orientations, depths and sampling procedures. Tracked daily contractor activities. Performed drill logging and plotted results in Logplot program. Claim staking of Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada project areas. Organized staking activities for other contractors. Land status research of Arizona and Nevada projects. Reconnoiter for competing location monuments.
