I am the Maintenance Manager in the Exploration Department of a Copper / Cobalt mine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
My daily activities consist of the running the workshop, maintenance and repairs on and off-site of Samil 100, Samil 20, Land Cruisers, diamond drill and reverse circulation drill rigs, bean pumps, generators and other heavy duty equipment associated with exploration (i.e. Cat D6 bulldozer).
I also do the Logistics for moving of 6 Diamond rigs when required and daily supply of water to drilling site. in addition I also run the stores for all spares and do weekly inventory for ordering spares and service parts.
