Electrical/Instrumentation designer/checker. Check all electrical and instrumentation design packages for various types of projects such as mining and minerals. Field verify electrical and instrument location drawings at the sites such as Sudbury, Ontario and Thompson, MB. Just finished an assignment at Xstrata's Strathcona Mill in Sudbury, Onatrio as site E&I supervisor overseeing install of new thickeners, flotation cells and feeder conveyors.

Electrical designer assigned to GE Water in Guelph, Ontario. Creating P&ID's, schematics, wiring diagrams, conduit layouts, lighting design and control panel design.

1/98-5/03 Progress Energy (Florida Power) St. Petersburg, Fl.
Electrical designer in the Utilities Division. Responsibilities were to provide business customers, as well as municipalities, street lighting and new power. I would receive requests daily from dispatch and then schedule an appointment to meet with the customer. At which time we discussed their needs, budget, etc. The street lights range from standard street lighting to the more decorative lighting for locations such as condos, office parks, schools.
10/93-12/97 Georgia Power (Southern Company Services) Atlanta, Ga.
Sr. Electrical Designer. Designed power distribution, grounding, lighting in the pulp and paper industry as well as local utility companies. One major project was to help in the replacement of a small power plant (hydro) in south Georgia that was washed out by flooding.

Electrical/Instrumentation Designer contracted out to Orion Consulting Engineers. Power, control, instrumentation layouts, instrument panel design at two paper mills. Spent four months sketching up P&ID's at ITT/Rayonier Pulp Mill in Jessup, Ga. and Instrument layouts for Mobil/Arco refinery. Created the final drawings using Autocad Rel. 12.
