* Directly reporting to the COO and Senior Vice President for Project Development of Kinbauri Gold Corporation, a Canadian company with gold exploration and mining interest in Belmonte, Asturias in an area formerly operated by Rio Narcea Gold Mining Company.

* Project is currently on scoping and pre-feasibility stage. Mainly responsible for all aspects of mine design, mine engineering studies, carrying out of project works, and strategic scheduling and planning in underground and open-pittable properties.

* Also responsible for carrying out works concerning rock mechanics studies and geotechnical activities in support of the feasibility study of the mine, RMR assessment of underground ore body deposits, establishment and development of all geotechnical parameters and assessment of ground support plans for the development phase of the underground construction, pit slope hazard-and-risk assessments of deactivated pits where carrying out of technical stability assessments, recommendation of remedial pit slope designs, and development of relevant procedural controls are carried out. The deactivated El-Valle Pit is being converted into a tailings storage facility where such current embankment raise-up design is carried out in-house.

* Responsible for the over-all design and stage construction of all tailings storage facilities of BMGMC and PSGC in terms of design concepts and stabilities, earthworks quality, tailings impoundment practices, and hydrologic and geotechnical concerns of other earthen structures, such as but not limited to, mine rock waste dumps, and road cuts.

* Responsible for the establishment of Corporate Environmental Policy and Environmental Management System by making sure that the best practice methods in environmental stewardship and protection are pro-actively adopted to reduce our impacts to the environment. The strengthening and promotion of environmental protection and sustainability is the focus of the policy and management system.

* Responsible for the development, implementation, and audit of environment management programs. These programs deal with the different stages of the project from exploration to development, to operation, to closure and rehabilitation period until post-closure. Coverage of these environmental programs primarily deal with the different aspects, often complex, physical impacts, ecological impacts, and socio-economic impacts brought by the projects, and the development and implementation of mitigation measures and controls for each of these aspects. * Was responsible for the in-house waste modeling of Ungay-Malobago pit for the materials requirement of all the tailings dams construction.

* Directly reported to the Corporate Environment Manager who handles the environment, safety, and social relations of the company and all its affiliates, including all other external projects. Concurrently, also reported to the Project Development Manager and Chief Geologist concerning special projects of the company in the southern Philippines.

* Was responsible for the completion of all Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Environmental Protection and Enhancement Programs (EPEP), Environmental Work Programs for MPSA claims and for Exploration Work Programs, and geotechnical and environmental research studies, among others.

* Functioned as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) for the Environment Department whenever the Environment Superintendent at the mine site is on official business.

* Was part of the team that studied six (6) open-pittable gold and copper deposits of Manila Mining Corporation, a company affiliate of Lepanto, for the possible re-opening of the mine. Major tasks carried out are economic analyses, block modeling in coordination with the project geologist, pit optimization, and reserves estimation using GEMCOM. These included deactivated pits such as Emma, Heine, Suyoc, N-Tina, and potential deposits Legaspi and Gold Dust.

* Responsible for the conceptualization, development and implementation of the following programs:

1. Cyanide Management;
2. Low pH Drainage Management; and
3. Environmental Management Systems based on ISO 14001.

* Was directly involved in site investigations, involving hydrologic, geologic and subsurface geotechnical assessments on sites to be developed as mine structures, in coordination with foreign experts (Coffey Partners Pty. Ltd. and The MINES Group). These sites included waste dumps, silt ponds, a solution or storm pond, a leach pad, and other sediment control structures.

* Was involved in the implementation of earthworks construction based on the designs and recommendations of foreign experts, and adoption of standard procedural tests such as field density and soil compaction tests.

* Conducted in-house slope stability, seepage modeling, and foundation stability analyses on as-built plans based on the mechanical properties of soils, design basis earthquake (DBE), and geologic and hydrologic factors at the site.

* While reporting in the head office in Pasig from February to October 1999 after the temporary cessation of operations in Sibutad Mine, my responsibility was extended to include drill hole data processing, block model and solids generation, and resource estimation using GEMCOM mining software.

* Was directly involved in resource and reserves evaluation and other geotechnical studies of external projects where Philex is the consulting company, like the quarry operations in Concrete Aggregates.
