Director of the Industry Wide Company Staff Supperannuation Scheme.

Jointly responsible for the health and Safety of 570 employees.

Carry out Accident Investigation & recording systems.

Liaise with Insurance Claims Inspector dealing with claims against the Colliery.

Make applications on behalf of the Colliery Manager for Exemptions and Notification under Mining Legislation.

Carryout Inspections and Audits on Safe systems of work, give expertise to people on writing Risk Assessments, Safety Auditing and Tool Box talks.

Liaise with the Collieries 20 Workman's Inspectors.

Responsible for the provision and selection of P.P.E.

Appointed Colliery Fire Risk Manager and responsible for both underground and surface fire risk management.

Responsible for Safety Environmental monitoring of noxious Gasses and Air born dust.

Carry out the duties of the Training Officer, covering the authorisation of visiting Contract companies on the Colliery curtlidge.

Ensuring that all statutory refresher training is kept within date and additional specialized training is organised were needed.

Team Captain Of the Colliery Mines Rescue Team.
