01/02 – 07/04 Landmark Graphics Corporation - UK
Initially employed as a geological data consultant within the data management group, my first role was concerned with the cleaning and storage of vintage and recent geophysical data (primarily SEG-Y format) to a TSM (IBM) database (PetroBank©). The role required the understanding of SEG, UKOOA and velocity formats, with data interaction via UNIX based systems and ARC GIS software packages for accurate storing and positioning of 2D and 3D seismic data.
This role developed into a project manager position for the daily operational needs of PGS Exploration UK and Africa. It became my responsibility as the client contact for PGS to ensure that all multi-client and brokerage data was received and loaded to the PetroBank© to the required quality assurance and service level agreements. Further to this my responsibilities also included the need to deliver PGS data (again under the agreed quality assurance and service level agreements) to all of their clients among which Shell Exploration UK, ChevronTexaco, ConocoPhillips, Encana and Kerr-McGee are included.
Alongside this role, I was the primary candidate in the group to manage the time and data needs of large SEG-D tape copy / transcription jobs whether they were performed in house or by agreed sub-contractors.
Weekly on-site visits were made to PGS as part of the project manager role to ensure that all of their data management needs were met on or ahead of schedule.

05/01 – 08/01 Commonwealth Scientific & Industry Research Organisation – Australia
(Research toward the completion of a Masters degree in Mining Geology), Coupled Mechanical and Fluid Flow Numerical Modelling of Stockwork Gold Mineralisation in the Kalgoorlie Goldfields using the Mount Charlotte Deposit as a Relevant Case Study.

04/97 – 09/00 Veritas DGC Limited - Global
Offshore Processing Geophysicist which entailed the analysing and processing of 2D and 3D seismic data using Veritas' Seismic TANGO software. Other duties included client consultation on data quality, training of new processing personnel and acting as the system administrator for the onboard UNIX systems. This post involved travel to the Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, North & West Africa and Norway.

I have undertaken several first aid courses and offshore training (05/98); the latter of these also included extensive training in fire fighting and offshore survival and rescue techniques. I own a full UK driving licence (no endorsements) and have working computer experience with Windows XP, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of HP-UX Unix and AIX Unix, ARC GIS software, and Seismic TANGO software produced by Veritas DGC as well as the numerical modeling package FLAC (ITASCA). Interests include popular music, reading science fiction and fact, socializing, badminton and keeping up to date in computer technology for business and pleasure. I am also a keen traveler and enjoy using my time off as a way of pursuing this interest as and when I can.
