Operations included, contract drilling and blasting, loading and hauling, crushing and screening, stockpiling and load-out (rail and truck) of products used in the road base, concrete and asphalt markets.

Responsibilities included the start up and operation of two crushed limestone facilities over the course of two years. Accomplishments include permitting of the new green field site, and Project Management duties involving: engineering, and drafting new plant specifications for a $13 MM, one thousand ton per hour ¡§turnkey¡¨ capitol project. Project came in 10% under approved budget.
Plant managerial responsibilities included: P & L budget and capital preparation, reserve estimations, mine planing, production and maintenance, compliance with governmental agencies, company policies, and quality standards.
PLANT MANAGER, Buda Aggregate Plant: August 1995 ¡V October 1998
Responsible for a 1.5 million ton per year crushed limestone facility. Accomplishments: Reduced operating cost by 20% through increasing productivity, and plant design modifications. Operations included, drilling and blasting, loading and hauling, crushing and screening (wet and dry), stockpiling and load-out. Duties included budget and capital preparation, mine planing, coordination of production and maintenance schedules, compliance with governmental agencies, and quality assurance. Other duties included employee development: recruiting, training / mentoring and discipline. Products used in the road base, concrete, and asphalt markets.
