- Manage the production of steering columns for several vehicle models.
- Production process includes multiple production lines with 25-40 employees. Each production line is managed as a separate business unit, responsible for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale.
PROJECT MANAGER, BENCHMARK ENGINEERING GROUP - Toledo, OH. - 1997-1998
- Responsible for implementing an integrated project management process for the construction of television cable networks. Formed integrated project teams from various customer departments which facilitated the management of project schedules, construction activities, and budgets.
SENIOR COAL GEOLOGIST, MARSTON & MARSTON - St. Louis, MO. - 1995-1996
- Responsible for the collection, verification, and interpretation of geologic data obtained from three coal deposits Binungan, Lati, and South Roto) located in East
Kalimantan, Indonesia. Structural and coal quality computer models were constructed for all three deposits.
- Designed core drilling programs to further evaluate the reserves at two of the deposits and supervised the drilling program at one of the sites.
SENIOR COAL GEOLOGIST, EXXON COAL AND MINERALS - Gillette, WY. - 1986-1994
- Successfully identified opportunities for inovative change in operations that resulted in increased coal recovery and product quality. This corresponded to an increase of over
$500k/year in operational and quality-based revenues.
- Developed quality assurance procedure based on statistical process control. Results included a 15% increase in shipment capacity and significant reduction in inspection costs.
- Successfully implemented processes for managing contract quality specification requirements for coal sale proposals. Results included, improved customer service and a reduction in administrative requirements.
- Provided geologic support to Marketing and Customer Service groups. Special product blends were run to attain customer quality requirements and provided unique qualities to enhance the marketability of the mine product.
- Optimized coal shovel blends to balance reserves and increase operating set room. A
lower quality seam was successfully blended at a higher rate to increase the reserves of the underlying, higher quality seam. This resulted in increased operational efficiency.
- Constructed and maintained mine site structural, coal quality, and shovel grade computer models. Models supported mine planning and marketing efforts and facilitated the monitoring and maintenance of product quality and coal recovery.
EXPLORATION GEOLOGIST, EXXON COAL RESOURCES USA - Houston, TX. - 1982-1986
- Directed exploration drilling programs in support of depositional modeling in the
Appalachia and Rocky Mountain areas. An acreage position was established on a surface mineable prospect that was generated in the Raton Basin, Colorado.
- Completed a regional evaluation of northwest Colorado and southeast Powder River
Basin, Wyoming. Delineated three exploration areas in the Powder River Basin and ranked each according to mineability and quality.
- Evaluated company acreage in the Powder River Basin. As a result, a majority of the acreage was released, significantly reducing holding costs.

- Responsible for the collection and interpretation of geologic data generated by development drilling at three Indiana surface mines.
