Duties:
Plan, estimate, schedule & expedite parts & materials for operating or mission program. Programs include overhaul, rebuild, modification, & fabrication of combat & general purpose vehicles, secondary items & components. Coordinate manpower schedule. Establish, monitor, analyze & control parts analysis reports. Coordinate to divert usable stock to new programs& initiate action to obtain parts & supplies. Analyze programs to manage real or potential surplus. Determine disposition of program excesses. Analyze parts problems & determine required action. Analyze variance in anticipated costs, urgency & fund situation for local procurement. Develop material list of raw materials for local manufacture from detailed drawing of modification. Furnish technical information. Prepare parts portion of monthly program status reports & the schedule & performance status report. Review consumption data report for completed programs. I utilize various reporting systems SDS, ATAAPS and AWIPS. I am currently managing 41 different maintenance programs, with a combined total of 18 million dollars in funding. 2 branches and 4 divisions are reporting production counts and issues to me, on a weekly and daily basis.

Duties: Serving as Quality Control Inspector on M939 series 5 ton rebuild program, responsible for planning and coordinating work flow and assignments. Served as Lead Mechanic on M939 5 ton vehicle program, M997 HMMWV Ambulance program and HMMWV frame rebuild programs. Established the HMMWV frame and body teardown procedures for Lear Siegler at the New Boston facility. While assigned as the QA for M939 series 5 tons I make classification and serviceability determinations in process and final acceptance inspections of complete vehicles and their major components. Perform visual, auditory, operational and dimensional inspections of complete vehicles including a wide variety of major components and systems such as large engines, transmissions, steering assemblies, electrical systems, power trains, hydraulic systems, etc. Use a wide range of test and diagnostic equipment. Interpret a wide variety of technical references, inspection standards, blueprints, schematics, etc. Exercise a substantial degree of inspection judgment when clearly defined inspection guides are not available. Provide technical assistance and advice to management production personnel to assure maintenance of required quality levels. Record and input results of inspections into an automated quality data feedback system. Investigate causes of critical or major defects and assures corrective action is taken. Ability to perform overhaul, repair, and/or modification of major systems of combat vehicles and other heavy mobile equipment and general purpose type vehicles or the entire vehicle. Insures that needed plans, blueprints, material and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations. Work along with other employees and sets pace performing non-supervisory work of the same kind and level as that done by the group led. Checks work in progress and when finished for compliance with supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods and deadlines, and urges or advises other employees to follow supervisor's instructions and to meet deadlines. Have a thorough knowledge of the makeup, operation and working relationships of a variety of heavy duty systems, assemblies and parts including major systems such as diesel engines including supercharged and turbo charged, turbine dual compressor engines and the more complex 8 cylinder air cooled 1,000 horsepower engines, automatic transmission including the cross-drive and multi system transmission, automatic transmissions which have gear reduction systems, torque converters, planetary gears, more than one gear range and include braking steering and differential systems mechanically integrated within. Applications will also be rated and reviewed based on the following: Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.; Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic); Use of Measuring Instruments to include Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE); Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification (Includes blueprint reading); Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment; and Troubleshooting I have worked for Lear Siegler Mobility Center for 4 years and 10 months performing duties from, diagnosing system malfunctions, trouble shooting, I have performed Technical and In - Process and Final Inspections, administrative duties, helped prepare ROMs for the biding of contracts, worked on a multiple of Heavy Mobile Tactical Combat Wheeled Vehicles. I have performed difficult and complex tasks involving diagnosing system malfunctions, inspecting, repairing, modifying and replacing components. Performed and conducted road tests, operational checks and adjustments. Use a full range of mechanical tools to include integrated and diagnostic test equipment. I am fluent in the use of the Technical Manuals. I have supervised and instructed others performing the same type of work. I Have reassembled parts and made adjustments to meet specific tolerances.

Responsible for initial technical inspection of five ton trucks upon arrival, monitor maintenance processes and perform final inspection prior to government acceptance. Work in conjunction with government QARs on complete turnover of the vehicles. Liaison between LSI and QARs at Fort Hood for the five ton M939 series project. Assist with quality assurance of FMTV/LMTV project. Served as A-card paint/blast inspector. Inspecting coverage, mill thickness, surface preparation and finish products. Trained three other inspectors. Uphold ISO standards and conduct ISO audits to ensure company compliance.

Performed maintenance duties and served as final inspection team leader for the FORSCOM HMMWV M997 ambulance project, worked with other mechanics performing 20 thru 40 level maintenance on the M997 ambulance to support reconstitution of these assets to the active Army Units. Mechanic for the FORSCOM five ton M939 series project for Red River Army Depot program thru LSI. Performed 20-40 level maintenance of the M939 series 5ton in support of the RRAD's Reset Programs. I performed final inspections and Quality Control Inspections during the maintenance process to cut manhours due to reworking at final assembly due to quality issues. Mechanical duties included the inspection and repair of the following assemblies and components, Engine diagnosis and troubleshooting, repair of NHC 250 Cummins as well as the Cummins 8.3 Liter engine.

HMMWV teardown and frame final assemble team leader. Worked on HMMWV disassembly team to completely teardown HMMWV in support of the RRAD's Reset Program. worked on the HMMWV frame assembly team to build the frame to a rolling frame in support of RRAD reset. Assisted Red River Army Depot QARs in final inspection of HMMWV frames.
