Through my drilling experience with companies like Boart Longyear, Redcor drilling, SMD and Humboldt drilling and pump I have gained experience and knowledge in multiple types of drilling including RC (5.25" to 17" bits), Percussive (including directional), DTH and Wire line Coring. Also with Humboldt drilling and pump I gained a working knowledge of water well development and the installation/replacing small submersible pump and larger turbine driven pumps with up to a 5000 gal per min capacity.

My duties at Redcor drilling entailed core drilling on a skid mounted LF-70(70 ft. average in a 9 hr. period) site prep coordination, rig up/down), minor maintenance, direct and supervise crew, liaise with geologists, abandon holes and site clean up. Follow and enforce all company/state/federal safety and environmental regulations

At Small Mine Development I was the Nipper where my duties were concerned with making sure all work stations had proper equipment and supplies, and help other operators complete tasks in a time/cost efficient manner. I was also required to have a working knowledge and ability to use all on site equipment i.e. 30 ton haul truck, powder truck, forklift, 6 and 4 yard LHD, shot Crete mixer station and mixer truck. In short I was to (under the direction of the mine superintendent) make sure pinson mine ran as smoothly as possible from one phase to the next.

At Boart Longyear I was trained on a stope-mate ( underground Percussive drill) to drill blast holes for ore recovery, and cable bolt holes for ground support at the Midas mine in Golconda, NV where I was also responsible for stope preparation( scaling, water and air lines, air vents and all drill rig maintenance). And while I was with Boart Longyear I had the opportunity to work at the Questa mine in New Mexico to be trained on a BCI-II (percussive drill) to help drill and grout approximately 60,000ft of cable bolting and other ground support.

Through 10 years with the U.S. Army and army national guard, as an (11b,11c) Infantryman and (88m)Baulk fuel transportation, With an Honorable discharge. Where I was responsible to maintain equipment and keep equipment maintenance log records as accurate as possible. Where I have had the opportunity to serve my country with two overseas tours (Afghanistan/Iraq) where I was a team leader and a temporary squad leader.
