Work Experience Detail: 1. METALLURGICAL SUPERINTENDENT (March 2008 – present) Sagittarius Mines, Inc. - Managed by Xstrata Copper Tampakan Copper-Gold Project South Cotabato, Philippines 66 Mtpa Copper Project General Function: Responsible for planning, management and coordination of all Philippine-based metallurgical and metallurgical plant production activities related to the technical evaluation and development of the Tampakan copper-gold deposit. This position includes management of the design of the process plant and related facilities such as maintenance areas, tailings dam and water reticulation system. Metallurgical Studies – Active involvement in review of metallurgical testing programs to document, characterize and understand the Tampakan deposit to successfully deliver the XPFS Metallurgy Program. Data Integrity – Establish and maintain appropriate systems and procedures to ensure the integrity of all metallurgical core samples from testing to data processing. Process Engineering – Work closely with the wider Xstrata Copper technical study group to manage the concentrator process engineering program; Operating Systems & Procedures – Development and maintenance of appropriate systems and procedures to ensure smooth transition to operation mode. Coordinate and provide logistical support for all production related activities for the Tampakan project. Conduct reviews of Xstrata plant sites to ensure common systems and procedures are known and can be adhered to. Leadership, Safety & Environment – Provide leadership and mentoring of SMI staff and consultants. Ensure industry leading safe work practices and, environmental and social controls are adhered to at all times. Ensure metallurgical processes have a positive impact on the project's culture of safety and environmental management in areas such as metallurgical drilling, testing, design and operation. Cost Management – Ensure cost management of activities with budget framework. 2. PROCESS OPERATIONS TRAINER July – Aug 2007 Apex Silver Mines - Minera San Cristobal San Cristobal, Potosi, Bolivia This is just a 2-Month Work (On leave at Sagittarius Mines, Inc.) Plant Capacity: 40,000 Tons/Day Lead-Zinc-Silver Flotation Plant General Function: Assist the Mill Operations Superintendent to train operators at the Minera San Cristobal process plant, and to address all the organizational, personnel, and technical issues involved. In addition, the trainer/supervisor may be required to play a 'hands-on' or advisory role in the pre-commissioning of the process plant's equipment. 3. MILL SUPERINTENDENT August 24, 2002– December 20, 2002 Sun Shin Gold Mines Korean Exploration and Mining Co., Inc Haenam-gun, Cheollanam-do, Korea Plant Capacity: 150 Tons/Day High Grade Silver and Gold Flotation Plant and Refinery General Functions: - Supervised the operation of a 150-tpd mill plant using conventional crushing, grinding, flotation and smelting of concentrate - Supervised the operation of the tailing pond and wastewater treatment facility 4. MILL MANAGER February 1993 – August 2001 Apex Mining Co., Inc. Masara, Compostela Valley, Philippines Plant Capacity: 1000 TPD CIL Plant (Scaled-down to 200 TPD) General Functions: - In-charge in all aspects of operation of the plant using conventional crushing & grinding, gravity concentration and CIL/CIP gold recovery processes. - Formulates concepts, programmes and strategies for application in operation to improve efficiency and production and/or lower costs. Initiates research and development to improve process efficiency and recovery. Career Highlights - In August 1997, designed and managed the construction of a 200 TPD CIL/Gravity Plant (operation was scaled-down from 1000 TPD) but using the existing 1000tpd-capacity crushing and milling circuit operating in 8-hr single shift. Was able to save 15% on capital cost by using recycled materials and equipment. Most equipment were refurbished and fabricated on site. - In 1995, designed, constructed and managed the operation of a 50 tons/day plant using conventional CIL process to treat high grade gold ore. 5. PLANT METALLURGIST Sept 1988 – Feb 1993 Philex Mining Corporation Padcal, Tuba, Benguet, Philippines Plant Capacity: 26,000 TPD Copper Concentrator General Functions: - Sampling and process control - Equipment and continuing process optimisation - Plant trials on new reagents, modified processes, equipments and flow sheet modifications including preliminary economic feasibility studies - Metallurgical accounting and production statistics Career Highlights From May, 1989 to Feb. 1991, the undersigned was seconded at the company's Sibutad Gold Exploration Project in Sibutad, Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines as Project Metallurgist. - Supervised the construction and installation of the site assay laboratory for exploration use - Initiated sighter laboratory testworks and flowsheet development in the economic treatment of the ore deposit, including Heap Leach trials that become the preferred process route. Full-scale operation of the Heap Leach facility commenced on 1997. - In early 1989 ongoing with the exploration stage, the company constructed a 10 tpd pilot plant to recover gold from high-graders' tailings from nearby gold rush area. I supervised its construction and operated the plant in its early stage. The plant generated revenues that partly financed the exploration project. - Also, in 1991, I was involved in the group that optimised milling and flotation operations of the Padcal Concentrator. This led to eventual replacement of the conventional cleaner flotation circuits with Jameson cells. 6.
