Basic Function:

Provide technical coordination support for the Melt Shop to include the development and refinement of operating procedures for the melt shop operations and products (Rebar, SBQ, MBQ).

Nature and Scope:
I am primarily responsible for developing, refining, and communicating the engineering and operating data needed to produce billets and finished products. Also, responsible for making recommendations for cost savings, production, safety, and quality improvements, as well as responsible for safety of employees and for effectively administering safety programs.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Coordinate operational information and data for the operating department.
2. Prepare all data sheets, diagrams, and flow charts for correct and efficient operation of the equipment.
3. Provide preliminary engineering services for department projects and cost justification.
4. Assist with preparing programs for the computer control systems.
5. Coordinate with supervision during routine operations, and assist in solving production problems.
6. Responsible for the proper interpretation and administration of corporate, plant, and departmental policies and programs.
7. Responsible for actively supporting and participating in Melt Shop/Rolling Mill teambuilding efforts.
8. Insure all environmental practices and guidelines are followed.

I worked in Engineering team of pipe plant meltshop construction project.
