MINING/EXPLORATION/FIELD GEOLOGIST

OBJECTIVE
A geologist with 12 years experience, seeking a full-time permanent or contract position with a well-established company to commence as soon as possible after relocation to Canada.

EXPERIENCE
1992 - Present: Mine/Exploration Geologist, Pasat Madencilik Ltd. Sti., Ankara, Turkey
- Coordinate business between marble and granite quarries, head office, and the mining department, for the necessary reports, permits and licences.
- Supervise mineral exploration, well drilling, well logging, petrographical studies, geomorphological studies, slope stability measurements and field mapping.
- Methods utilized include: diamond wire cutting method in the extraction of granite from the quarry and to make precise horizontal or vertical cuts; and either dagger (wedge) or diamond wire cutting method in the extraction of marble.
- Participate in computer-based interactive training programs on mineral exploration, in the work place. These CD-ROM programs are in simulation format and are used in the departments of geology at Rand Afrikans University, South Africa, at the University of Bristol, United Kingdom and at the University of Adelaide, Australia.

Enrolled in e-MBA program of Harriot Watt University, UK and (distance learning)GIS program of Kingston University, UK.
