WORK EXPERIENCE

KMC Mining (Suncor and Syncrude Fort McMurray

I was hired as a senior surveyor to work without an assitant but with another surveyor on a different shift to construct at Suncor a South Tailings Pond and all other ongoing jobs. which at times required visting Syncrude to stake a section of road and return to Suncor for a volume pick-up. All equipment was Mining equipment which at times required great time management skills and verbal skills to facilitate construction at 8 or more places. The company ran 24 hrs with large mining equipment which also required volume pickups weekly sometimes daily if the shovel moved into a different pit. my role was to stake during my shift for day shift and the on-coming night shift. Using a Trimble GPS system it was possible to facilate on my shift all apsects of construction and volume pick-ups for a 24 hour crew.

CHALLENGER GEOMATICS LTD. (FORT.MCMURRAY)

I was hired as survey assistant and worked predominately in plant sites all over Alberta and parts of Saskatchewan. I also worked on various projects such as the subway tunnel expansion in Edmonton, Hardisty caverns for Enbridge, completed most of Enbridges site surveys on their main line from Edmonton to just about Regina.
In March of 2003 I was offered a party chief position with Challenger in our new office in Fort McMurray. The postion involved at first mostly residential surveying such as grading and real property reports. I have since worked as Party Chief on construction sites, plant sites such as Enbridge, Suncor and Petro Canada also I have done topograhic surveys for various municipal expansions as well as plant expansions for purposed tank farms.
CHALLENGER GEOMATICS LTD. (EDMONTON, ALBERTA)
I was hired as a Survey Assistant, which involved extensive travelling throughout Alberta. My responsibilities involved most aspects of today's surveying practices including the use of GPS, total stations, levels, on predominately oil field surveys, pipeline surveys, pipe location and construction surveys.
