Daily check maintenance and vibration analysis on Continua 2 wet end, includes rectifier head box, couch roll, combi roll, pre hexter drum, first press roll, second press roll, third press roll, ferrel press roll, roller clutches.
Dry end includes dryer and strecker (sheeter).

All the abovementioned parts, were stripped, repaired, manufactured, fabricated and installed as part of his working experience.
Achievements
In the time I was working in the file department, I developed, planned and manufactured a machine to speed up the production of the document wallets (photo on request: Document wallet)
A heat-stamping machine for lettering on PVC lever arch files. (photo on request: File Stamp)
While in the envelope department I then designed a pneumatic system that could count envelopes as they printed. As machinery was old and unable to perform the task (photo on request: Envelope counter)
I also designed, and manufactured a machine to cut the core for the till and fax rolls (no picture as machine was sold), the machine assigned to cut the core was old and unproductive.
A small vacuum machine to remove glue dust off duplicate paper while in the stationery department.

As apprentice, I was assigned to the Training Centre.
1. Introduction and studies of safety precautions and procedures.
2. Precision filing, removal and installation of bearings, measuring instruments, simple pneumatic systems and fault finding, stripped and removed bearings, refitting of gears, stripped and refitted pneumatic vein motors for an underground Atlas front-end loader.

Maintenance of electrical loco's, fault finding (non electrical), removing and fitting new electrical motors, break linings, lubricating and checking break link systems, lubricating all points.
Maintaining, fault finding and repair diesel loco's, replacing air filters, diesel filters, maintaining and lubricating breaking systems and removing and fitting gear boxes.
Fault finding, striping of Atlas front-end loaders, replacing gears and bearings, wheels, turntable bearings and seals, slings and front shovel.
Underground winches, fault finding, and stripping gearboxes, replacing planetary gears, bearings and seals.
Fault finding, stripping vertical sludge pumps, replacing rubber linings, impellers, bearings, seals and couplings.
