Alcoa Wagerup November 2006 - Current
Power House Controller
The Power Station at the Wagerup Alcoa World Alumina, Australia Refinery consists of 3 duel fuel (gas, diesel) high pressure boilers three steam turbines 1 frame 6 gas turbine with a HRSG and Alinta Gas are currently constructing 2 x 190mw frame 9 gas turbines as an upgrade and expansion to the Alcoa Wagerup Power Station, I have currently completed the training for efficient operation of the above mentioned plant. I am also on the commissioning team overseeing all isolations/switching
Writing of operations procedures and training operations personal to operate and maintain GT13E2-1 Units.

Worsley Alumina August 2005 - November 2006
Power System Controller
The Power Station at Worsley Alumina Pty Ltd consists of 3 duel fuelled boilers with electrostatic precipitators, 2 duel fuelled package boilers, 4 steam turbines, 1 frame 9 gas turbine with HRSG, Demineralisation and Condensate polishing plant for water treatment, associated plant includes 11kv and 415V 3.3V switchgear, compressed air plant, sampling equipment and other various power plants and their controls.

My daily duties included effective operation of the above mentioned plant focussing on boilers, electrostatic precipitators, turbines and the Cogeneration Plant. Whilst with Worsley Alumina I had completed my permit to work officer training and also completed gas testing and authorised person. I was also undertaking my Certificate 3 in Power Station operation, which I am completing at present.
Aditiya Birla Nifty Copper June 2004 - August 2005
Power Station Operator / Maintainer
Aditiya Birla are the Owner / Operators of the Nifty Copper Power Station. The stand alone station consists of 1 x 22.5 MW GE-TM2500 Gas turbine, 2 x MW CAT diesel generators and a reverse osmosis plant to maintain water supplies to the SX plant Electro wining and the turbine cooling system. Associated plant includes 11kv and 415V switchgear, compressed air plant, sampling equipment and other various power plant and their controls.

My daily duties included the installation / commissioning / maintenance and on going effective running of all the plant mentioned above. In the course of these duties I managed the station resources to plan and supervise plant shutdowns, manipulate Main Pac software package to direct planned preventative maintenance. I also actively sourced and purchased spares and materials as required maintaining store stock levels. In addition I completed the production of complicated daily reports. Other responsibilities included the Supervision of contractors on site, isolation of power plant and the issue of relevant permit to work paper work. My approach to operation and safety has been to keep safety first.

The plant comprises of 2 x 22Mw Electric Arc Furnace Smelters, R.O. plant, crushers and conveyor system, ash handling plant and an 11kv distribution system with back up diesel generators.

This included operation of 22Mw Electric Arc Furnaces, D.C.S type H.M.I operations and driving loader vehicles. I was also proficient in the operation of overhead cranes. Bunbury Steam Laundry January 1992 - November 1995
