E&I Supervisor
Hired on as a Technician which involves coverage for the entire project. Provided troubleshooting and repairs for the Underground, Mill, Surface and all electrical distribution. Responsible for troubleshooting and repair to all equipment, controls and instrumentation applying all NEC and MSHA rules and standards. In November of 2007 accepted the position of Supervisor and now manage a crew of 11 technicians who apply their skills in the above mentioned description.

Electrical Maintenance Supervisor
I am a hands on Electrician/Technician who has a production shift responsibility to keep all equipment operating. My duties also include directing, scheduling and guiding the other electricians in the daily maintenance and completion of projects to improve or expand our ever growing facility. There are many skills used to assure mill machine/computer interfaces are maintained and upgraded, and to troubleshoot mill wide electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic system problems. I use RSLogix software to program Allen Bradley PLC5 and Contrologix platforms. Currently we use ControlNet, EthernetIP and Devicenet to interface with the PLC's and devices I use the following applications regularly RSLogix, RSLinx, RSView MS Word, Excel, and have a working knowledge of AutoCAD. My duties currently include installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and programming of the following systems:
Transformers and switchgear for 120 VAC-13,800 VAC power systems.
Electrical motors up to 1500 HP.
Synchronous Motor Soft Start starters up to 1500 HP.
Frequency drives up to 250 HP.
480 VAC starters, MCC's, and control systems.
Temposonic hydraulic cylinder positioning systems.
Hydraulic piping, controls, pumps, and cooling systems.
Water/pneumatic piping, pumps, and cooling systems.
Allen Bradley PLC's, to include all operator interfaces, and discreet devices.
Calibrate scanners, ultrasonic sensors, metal detectors, and proportional valves.
Electrical/hydraulic schematics, and blueprints for system maximization and troubleshooting.
Size and install rigid conduit, and raceways to NEC code.
Size and rate conductors for equipment, conduit, and raceways to NEC code.
Closed circuit video systems.
Computer repair and troubleshooting.

It was my responsibility to service current customers and develop new customers and assist them technically for western Michigan region. Our product lines were service parts and control systems for processing plastic resins. We were also the MI representative for Sumitomo Technoplas and HPM press manufacturers. Engineering Specialist (Field Service)
I joined Technoplas to further my experience and education of the injection molding process for thermoplastics; Technoplas manufactured injection molding machines and molds. Technoplas had a very creative and advanced engineering department who implemented futuristic features into their molding machines and mold design. As the Engineering Specialist for North America it was my duty to install, assist and train customers on the use and maintenance of our machine line and molds. I also was required to install and debug any automation that would be attached to the molding machine. This usually consisted of robots and stocking equipment for discs and varied small parts. As the only Engineer in the U.S. I had many responsibilities and duties, which the following list will present.
Install and setup precision equipment and molds at customer facility often in clean room setting.
Troubleshoot, tune and repair closed loop servo hydraulic systems performing pressure, velocity and positioning functions
Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with motor starters, heating circuits and equipment wiring to include upgrades and modifications.
Program PLC to change equipment functions or timing and tuning PID loops.
Integrate robotics and product handling into machine function. Typically Seiko Epson and Sailor robotics
Perform mechanical repairs and upgrades or modifications when needed.
Train customers in all aspects of equipment usage and repair. Assist customers with tooling design and processing difficult products.

1988 Received two weeks training from Encoder Products Company entailing Synergy Distributed Controls programming and applications.

1988 Received training from Toshiba for Injection Molding Machine maintenance.

1991 Factory training from Seiko Epson on robot programming and maintenance.

1998 Factory training from Barber Colman for the MACO series PLC.

Special Achievements

1996 Gave presentation on the subject of high-speed cavity filling using pressure profile control. At the 1996 Molding Conference in Novi, MI

1997 Gave presentation to the Cleveland Chapter of the Society of Plastic Engineers on High Speed Low Pressure Fill Molding.
