Development Director/ Sr. Project Manager, DEVELOPERS DIVERSIFIED REALTY ($20B Shopping Mall Developer), Salt Lake City, UT 2005 - Present
As Development Director responsibilities include: Interface with government officials, architects, engineers, consultants, attorneys, brokers and investors to entitle potential mall projects. Perform feasibility studies for several potential projects. Direct design from conceptual to construction documents. Prepare proformas and monthly financial reports on construction costs and leasing activity. Manage associates and consultants to see projects through to completion. Prepare and present a number of civil engineering and construction management topics for other members of the company. Promote development of company-wide design criteria for reduction of building life-cycle costs, energy efficiency and green design. Also developed design, leasing and construction guidelines for lifestyle project buildout. Negotiate technical aspects of major anchor leases and mid-box leases.
As Senior Project Manager responsibilities include: Selecting general contractors, preparing and administering contracts and change orders on fast track projects, monitoring costs and forecasting budgets, dispute resolution, quality control and safety administration, multi-prime contractor project management, CPM scheduling, develop design changes to meet budgets and provide solutions to complex engineering/ construction/ financial/ political/ legal problems as they relate to mall development and construction. Currently directing civil design and construction project that has required 250,000 cy of blasted and crushed basalt rock during building construction. Responsibilities included: Sales, civil/structural design, bidding, contract administration and jobsite supervision for public, private and commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities included: construction supervision of 60 employees, purchasing, contract administration for $4.5 million military construction project leading to promotion to project manager.
